This can be taken as the worst case budget..thought that the budget was 40 Cr but here they say it is 60 Cr..

"What is the budget of R.. Rajkumar and how much it need to collect to be called Hit??", huge number of people asking this question to us on twitter.. Here it is

R.. Rajkumar is made on the budget of 60cr approx and it has been released on decent screen size of 2200 screens with huge number of shows at plexes.. Looking at both the factors boxoffice verdicts for film will be following..

Average.. 45+cr

Semi-Hit.. 55+cr

Hit.. 65+cr

Super Hit.. 90+

Blockbuster.. 110+cr

So going as per trends movie is looking at 44-45cr approx Week 1 and With no major movie coming next Week it can go on to collect 60-61cr in 2 Weeks and lifetime will go around 65cr approx.. So as per now it seems that movie is all set for hit verdict at domestic boxoffice..

Eros International Media Limited (Eros International), a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, has announced an impressive opening weekend of Shahid Kapoor & Sonakshi Sinha starrer R...RAJKUMAR at the box-office with Rs. 45.77 crores worldwide. Produced by Eros International and Next Gen Films, the mass entertainer starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha with its hit music and Prabhu Dheva style action, romance and signature dialogues hit the right chord with audiences and found its place in the top ten opening weekends among Hindi films this year. Monday remained steady at the box-office with the masalathon raking in an attractive Rs. 5.65 crore in India.

In its opening weekend, the film grossed Rs. 39.77 crore in India (Net collections: Rs. 30.59 crore) and Rs. 6 crores overseas. It released across 2900 screens in India and 300 screens overseas.

Box Office: R... Rajkumar Vs Shahid's earlier releases

Prabhu Dheva's R... Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha released last Friday, to mixed reviews. While certain critics and audience segments panned the film, others seemingly have loved the masala fest.

In this week's edition of Box Office Report Card, we compare the Opening Weekend collections ofR... Rajkumar to Shahid's earlier releases. Interestingly, the film ranks first as the highest Opening Weekend grosser for Shahid, collecting Rs. 30.59 crores, overtaking his previous releases Phata Poster Nikhla Hero which collected Rs. 21.25 crores and Mausam which collected Rs. 20.75 crores.

On the other hand, when we compared R... Rajkumar's Overseas collections of the Opening Weekend to Shahid's previous releases, it surprisingly has done quite poorly in all Overseas markets.

R... Rajkumar' Box Office Collections: Shahid-Sonakshi Starrer Holds Well on Monday

Prabhu Deva's "R... Rajkumar" has surprised trade analysts with its smashing opening weekend collection. The masala entertainer has also recorded a strong first weekday (Monday) collection.

As per early estimates, the film has managed to rake in around 4.5-5 crore on Monday. The action romantic flick has passed the Monday test with flying colours.

The four-day total of the film now stands at over 35 crore. The film registered only a 50 percent drop in its collections, compared to Friday's earnings.

Initial trend suggested that negative reviews from critics would hamper the box office earnings of "R... Rajkumar".

But the film has performed extremely well in theatres across the country. Released in across 2,300 screens in India, the film has become a hit among audiences.

Unlike other big-budget films, the ticket prices of "R... Rajkumar" were not raised.The film churned out average earnings at the box office compared to other big films due to normal ticket rates.

If the same pace is maintained at ticket collections centres, then the film will take its first week total to more than 40 crore.

On the other hand, the film has not registered a good opening in overseas markets. "R... Rajkumar" opening weekend collection is lower than Shahid's "Phata Poster Nikla Hero", "Teri Meri Kahaani" and "Mausam".

The masala entertainer has raked in 5.52 crore from the international arena in its opening weekend. Except for UAE-GCC circuits, the collections at other circuits were relatively dull.

The lead actors of the film - Shahid Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha, took to Twitter to thank their fans for their love and support.

"Wanna thank each and everyone who went to see @RRTheFilm for all your pyaar pyaar pyaar .. This one has done well only cause of u all," Shahid tweeted.

"Your appreciation and pyaar have us dancing with joy. Thank YOU guys for all the love. #RRajkumar," Sonakshi said.
