SRK's Line up

So other than that awful movie HNY what else does he have? I don't even know why he decided to do that. It looks stupid and I hate Farah she should stick to choreographing.

With Shahrukh, no movie is final until he starts shooting for it. There will be rumors, confirmations from both him and the director, and media hype etc. But past experiences have shown that we need to wait for him to start shooting for that movie before we can confirm it.

For now, he has talked about doing Maneesh Sharma's movie, Rahul Dholakia's movie...and three more that's he's really interested in. (rumored to be Ashutosh Gowarikar, Rohit Shetty, Anurag Kashyap)

But again, none of these have been signed.

It's frustrating to be a fan of SRK. He only does one movie per year yet he picks movies like Happy New Year W*F. Dude should pick better scripts or at least do more than one movie a year. He probably has another 4 to 5 years before he's too old to play the lead actor.

If you're a SRK fan, you need to accept the fact that SRK does movies with people he feels comfortable with and "chooses scripts based on what I feel like doing at the moment". Those are two things he'll keep saying on how he picks scripts.

Another interesting thing he mentioned recently which I have never heard him say before is that he doesn't feel like doing a certain type of role anymore. For example, he said that when he first joined the industry, he had all these dream characters and roles he wanted to play. And he got to do all that. But now he's come to a point where the challenge is to take on any character he's given and do it the way it's been perceived by the director.

Believe me, all SRK fans are frustrated with him doing only 1-2 movies each year. All of us want more. And what's more frustrating is how all the best directors from Imtiaz to Mira Nair to Raju Hirani to Vishal Bharadwarj to Ashutosh to Anurag Kashyap to etc. come to him with so many scripts, but alas he chooses differently. (I think I will always hold it against him for rejecting both the Munnabhai's, 3 Idiots, Jodha Akbar and god knows what else)

But that's him I guess. He'll do what makes him happy. Like he always says, "If I'm not happy making the movie, how will I spread happiness to audience through it?"

But very honestly, I don't think Happy New Year will be that bad. Of course, it won't be some critically acclaimed intellectual movie. But I do think that it will be good entertainer. (unlike today's masala films) Hopefully, something like Main Hoon Na.

lol but I think all of us are starving to get some good Shahrukh Khan character roles. Let's hope he gives us one soon.

yes I also think HNY will not be that bad..as long as it's entertaining! Hopefully it'll be more like MHN and not TMK. Farah's MHN and OSO were really good.

I hope he drops Maneesh Sharma's film. 😆

No Farhan is producing Dholakia's next with SRK. 😆 Don 3 won't happen anytime soon, because Farhan has loads of acting projects at the moment.
