Commercial cinema stenches of lazy writing these days and that's a frequently used statement which fans and masala film buffs criticize and reject. Prabhudheva's R...Rajkumar,which has been relished by masses, hated by critics, has taught us the lamest things possible which every masala entertainer Bollywood movie has.

1. You should master the art of fighting 60 men at a time:

No matter how short you are, you will beat the sh#t out of men who have been celebrating No Shave November' all year long. Gravity defying!

2. Keep a song after every random event:

And make sure that the song has no relation with the story whatsoever.

3. Go to surreal locations for dancing:

No matter what village the story is in, find a picturesque location for them to exhibit their moves. Using Sonakshi's forehead is another preferred location.

4. You are not a successful villain if you do not own a fleet of SUVs.

Wherever you go, whatever the occasion is, take your Convoy with you. Coz If you got it, flaunt it'!

5. Use silly one-liners:

No matter how grave the situation is, blab senseless stuff to your opponent and make him STFU. Also try saying, "PYAAR PYAAR PYAAR, MAAR MAAR MAAR,". Yep it works!

NOTE: This is a negative review, by a fickle fan of Shahid and Sonakshi. 😆

I have seen RR, there isn't much innovative even in terms of romantic scenes or fight sequences, or the climax. It's like Rowdy Rathore all over again without the back story and with new actors.
Shahid's action sequences are repetitive and unconvincing, Sonakshi's role is a rehash of what she did in Rowdy, Bullet Raja and countless other films. Don't Sonu Sood and Ashish Vidyarthi get bored of playing the same type of roles over and over again?

Prabhu Deva sir, you cannot keep recycling your Rowdy and Wanted and expect the audience to love it every time, and you need to sack your dialogue writer. The dialogues were generally plain and forgettable, except for the ones already heard in the trailer.

I don't know why Shahid and Sonakshi signed this film. It was just a badly made film. There is no story whatsoever. The saving grace is the music, Shahid-Sonakshi's acting and chemistry and a few sequences towards the interval, but it just doesn't make up for it overall.

I generally enjoy watching masala films, I loved Wanted, Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore, Chennai Express and Bodyguard, and I think why those films worked was because they had fresh jokes, innovative romantic scenes, and there was a good build up to the climax i.e. the big fight sequence in the finale that decides who gets the girl. All of which RR didn't have.

Having said that, I do see the effort by Shahid and Sonakshi, Shahid especially, in trying to perfect and shine in an otherwise bland role. For these two, if this film works I'll be genuinely happy for them. But if you ask me, a film like RR just doesn't deserve to work, because there was little effort made to make the film, unique, interesting, and catering well to its target audience. Take the actors out of the film and it will be bland, boring and disastrous.

😆😆 Sasha and Sona were adorable! But I hate them for doing this film, they can do way better!

R... Rajkumar Does Well On Day 1 (1st Friday) At The Box Office

R...Rajkumar managed a good start at the Box Office. Earning in the range of 9.50 crores approx, the film has made a better beginning than last week's Bullett Raja showing more mettle.

Being a Prabhudheva directorial, the film is a lip smacking masala entertainer that will be liked by audiences in many key curcuits. It performed exceedingly well in Mumbai, CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan, Bihar and South. Though in North India and Delhi, the film did not fare well, the overall performance was satisfactory.

Trashed by critics, however considering the positive word of mouth publicity amongst the masses, this flick is expected to take a good jump today and tomorrow!

^^ This was my prediction on the RR predictions thread, 9.5 crores! 😛
