Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha's R... Rajkumar had a good first day at the box office as the film collected around 8.50 cr according to early estimates on Friday. The film had a decent start at the box office and showed good growth throughout the day.
The film started off at around 40-50% in the morning shows and showed growth as the day progressed. The film has performed very well in in places like Gujarat , Maharashtra and CP Berar whereas the the performance in North of India is below par. The film seems to have been lapped up in smaller centers whereas the film has had an indifferent first day in bigger cities.
The film's performance on Day 1 is good but it remains to be seen how much growth the film can show on saturday and sunday as the reviews for the film are not good and its growth over the weekend will determine how good/bad the word of mouth is for the film. The film has released in around 2300 screens all over the country and even with normal growth the film can have a first weekend of 30 cr plus which will be a good result for the film.
