@RR...hello! You keep making apperances in the most unlikely of threads!😆 BV...is Bombay Velvet, right? Ranbir will easily pull off the role...but Anurag has unfortunately not had a very good commerical track record till now...plus the story of BV (the book on which it is based) is truly 'hatke'...and even Anurag is 'hatke'...so the film might just be way too whimsical and beyond anyone's understanding, apart from Anurag himself!😆 It might end up like Rockstar...will earn critical reviews but won't be able to click with the audience...mostly due to the high budget thing etc!

JJ should do well...Ranbir and Katty as a pair have clicked not once but twice before!

Btw, was watching Rajneeti again and was amazed by what a stellar performance the Kapoor Lad puts in!

Hey..I got back home early today and was tempted to post on this thread😆 Yeah i have the same feeling about BV But am super positive about RK's performance..Its been ages since RK did a challenging role..Am pretty sure he is gonna deliver..Fingers crossed😆 Am not particularly fond of Anurag Kashyap's films..I'l have to watch this for RK😆

Ranbir overshadowed almost every single actor in Rajneeti IMO😆

Its based on a book called Mumbai Fables, written by an Indian Historian, Gyan Prakash.

I am interested in watching this movie, just to see how Anurag will try to encompass the whole novel into one film...the sheer scope and size of the book is daunting...something like the Life of Pi...very difficult to imagine it as a film!

PS: Btw, I know you are all totally hating Ranveer right now😆...but I have to tell you that he was indeed the original choice for the film, but he chose Ram Leela over it!

Yes, their promotion tactics are just as bad as one another.

But Deepika, as a whole, is only appreciated around here. I still see people calling her "ugly", "dark" and various names. I have never seen Ranbir getting called anything like that in real life. She will always be lesser in popularity in terms of Katrina, less charismatic than Kareena, very average actor, just plain ordinary. She is the one women who has been s**t-shamed and ridiculed the most. She is the one who has actually shown some improvement. Shobha de called her "dirty villager", did she call Ranbir that? No.

You may or may not agree, but it is here in this forum that Deepika has been appreciated for at least trying and not giving up. Ranbir is a phenomenal actor and why would a guy be compared to a girl, I wouldn't understand. But when Deepika actually works hard, or she gets a bit lucky- all the sarcasm is a bit weird. I mean, compare her with those she should be compared with. The actresses. Is she better than Katrina? Of course. Priyanka? After Zanjeer, yes. Deepika cannot pull off a Barfi, just like Priyanka can't pull off a Meenama. Vidya is older and on a different league altogether.

Yeah i read this somewhere😆 I don hate Ranveer though..Its just that too much gushing makes me dislike an actor when am on BS😆 I'l start being indifferent to Ranbir too if he is hyped as the next best thing since sliced bread..Am glad ppl don think very highly of him on IF😆
