I don't understand why when a new actor becomes no. 1 the others are said to be done.

for me it has nothing to do with new actresses becoming no.1, it's the way Kareena is making her career choices. She has slowed down, and doesnt have that fire anymore. Nothing wrong with it, her priorities are different now. So yes, her prime time is done. Even she would agree with that.

She has one of the biggest film of next year in her kitty. Shuddhi.
The film is an intense love story, good director, period theme, bankable costar, strong role - What more can an actress want?

Also, she just bagged a film with Farhan Akhtar from a national award winning director.

Done?

Get nothing out of it? Dude she is now in the biggest Bollywood blockbuster. That's what should matter. She has the balance by doing some good cinema like Barfi, Mary Kom.

Unlike other actresses who are obsessed with commercial success and have no craving to get applauded for being an actress, not just a showpiece.

ya but at the same time she is doing MaryKom.

you are so hung up on Priyanka's 15mins role in Krrish. Wat was she supposed to do, say no to the one of the biggest franchise which gave her one of her first hits just caz it wont fulfill her ego. She played her part well, and there was nothing wrong in her doing Krrish. My problem with kareena is that she refuses good movies caz she is too scared to take risks. I never criticized her for doing RaOne or Bodyguard. Priyanka has always taken risks, i never hear her walking out of movies caz of stupid reasons.

Madhur Bhandarkar was a four time National award winning director and he still churned out a gem of a film like Main Heroine Hoon. 😆
Shuddhi will do good to her career I feel.

PC is not obsessed with commercial cinema because she knows she sucks at it- drama is her genre

Salaam-E-ishq, AA and many more prove how she over acts in such movies

and so what if she is in the biggest BB? was she even used as a showpiece? LOL- she had nothing going in her favor there- no song, dance, looks, chemistry- nothing! just an added baggage!

But by that philosophy, even SLB had gone off the kilter for a bit.

Then there's no sure way of knowing anything. In which case, Kareena's doing the right thing.
