David Dhawan films are entertaining. Varun said he never was a fan of his dad's work. But then he came a fan of Salman & Govinda. I think this might be a lil different from David's other work

This movie doesn't look even half of what Kandireega was..

And Ram in Kandireega wasn't a singer..(Spoiler) he was just a high school drop out who goes to Hyderabad to get an admission in a college and falls in love with a fellow student and the fellow student is also loved by the city's biggest don.

There was no social message in the movie tho? and who is playing Sonu Sood's role?
