However, as hubby Abhishek Bachchan is out of the country, Aishwarya performed this tradition through Skype. Big B tweeted, "Abhishek out of country on shoot .. so face of husband seen through Skype, for Karvachauth by Aishwarya .. what times we live in !!"
He also wrote, "'Karvachauth' over ... moon sighted, prayers done through the sieve, food eaten and water drunk by the wives ..dressed in fineries !"
Karwa Chauth is a festival celebrated by Hindu women where they fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.
When Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007, it created quite a stir among Bollywood and its followers. The couple have a two year old daughter named Aaradhya.
