I told you not having a proper heroine was a mistake. Aditi has no oomph. Also Akki is diluting his brand by doing too many movies.

B.O. update: 'Boss' strong at s. screens, but dull at plexes

BOSS, which had a midweek release [Wednesday, 16 October], has fared exceptionally well at single screens of most circuits. However, the multiplexes are a cause for concern, since the business refused to multiply *manifold* despite a positive/strong word of mouth. In fact, even though the biz at multiplexes did witness an escalation from 4 pm/5 pm onwards, the jump in the business was clearly missing. An interesting cricket match played spoilsport here, hitting the business hard in several circuits.

Also, unlike 2 October, which was a *major* holiday, 16 October wasn't, since some schools and offices in private sector were functioning like any working day. The business, expectedly, is likely to take a dip on Thursday [till Friday noon/evening], which is normal in any case. However, the business should grow over the weekend [Friday evening to Sunday], since the word of mouth is in favor of the film.

In terms of economics, the film should easily rank in the 'Plus' category, but the weekend business as well at the film's BO performance on weekdays should be the deciding factor.

Boss Thursday Opening Update for Morning Shows.

Boss has started on slow note on Morning shows on Thursday that is today at the Indian Box Office. Film has again taken a decent opening in Single Screens, but Multiplex opening is low to start on. As per early trend Boss has open to decent 30-40%+ occupancy in Single Screens which are just started for today. Occupancy is decent there considering today is working day. But in Multiplexes opening is around 20% which is much lower number. In Delhi City occupancy for Morning shows is registered around 20-25%. Occupancy for the same in Gurgaon is around 25-30%. In Mumbai occupancy for Morning shows is around 15-20%.

Thursday being a normal working day, there is bound to be drop in collections from yesterday. But still a number in the region of 10 crore nett should be aim for the film. Anything less than that will be somewhat underachievement. Film should show growth in later half of the day for the obvious reasons. Film has somewhat under performed on opening day specially in multiplexes. Hope that changes with weekend is approaching.
