Earlier decades there were many actors/actresses from non-filmi background.

But now the star kids have a monopoly and regular middle class Indians don't have a chance in hell.

Do people really make it on their own? I mean seriously?

If youre not a star-kid, then you become star either becaue of contacts or sleeping around. That hardly qualifies as "making it on your own" and I highly doubt there is 1 actor in Bollywood that "made it" through legitimate means.

Change title to " name ACTORS who have made it on their own in the last 10 years" then it becomes difficult ." Actresses" can still make it by sleeping around.
