B'wood Plans Biopic On MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni, John Abraham and Sushant Singh Rajput

With biopics trending and a big buzz about Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom, more filmmakers are looking at this genre. With cricket having a fan following that almost rivals Bollywood stars, sources tell us that a biopic is being planned on Indian cricket captain M.S. Dhoni.

M.S. Dhoni who captains India's cricket team and made his debut in a One Day International (ODI) in 2004. His Test and ODI records are the best among all Indian captains to date. He has lead India to many victories and is one of India's most loved cricketers.

Names of who is likely to star in M.S. Dhoni's biopic are being tossed around. Out of the heap emerges his BFF John Abraham. The two enjoy going on biking trips together and John has even said Dhoni is a better biker than him. Sushant Singh Rajput whose Kai Po Che made waves is also being considered, as he is said to bear the closest resemblance to Dhoni. Watch this space for more.

There's still time for MSD's biopic. I know it will be made, but no...and certainly not with John or Sushant. John even less. 🥱

I dont think film is happening as of now, atleast with John!
He's planning a film on motorcycling.

No film on the legend of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar?😕 I think his story is far more interersting and inspiring than that of Dhoni!

PS : Off-note...JA would make a good Dhoni...they look a bit alike!

Why are they planning the biopic now? Dhoni is still very much playing the cricket. That being said I would love to see a biopic on his life and I am sure many other when he retires.

And please Dhoni's life is boring? Seriously? A small town guy who used to be keeper for his school's football team, and who played cricket by sheer luck just because his school's cricket team keeper was injured, and then went on to become India's most successful captain in all formats and one of the greatest ODI batsman of all time that too without any proper training or coaching. If this also not enough then also add he also used to work as TC for Indian railways for his bread and butter in his initial days. If this story is boring and not a biopic material with a classic fairytale structure to it then God knows whose story is.
