She seems to be so comfortable in her own skin and she's very self - aware & observant, just like Ranveer. Hope those qualities take them far! I don't know what Sonakshi has in store for us next in terms of films, but I hope she signs a romcom ASAP with someone closer to her age. She's one of the most beautiful faces in Bolly IMO...so expressive especially when she's dancing.

I SO EFFING AGREEE...no one apart from DP has impressed me this much as Sona has seriously...I adore this girl so much now it sucks how she gets bashed around here for idiotic reasons like her weight🤢😡. She is a tremendous actress right from Dabangg she's always so confident with her role I just wish she had a good script sense and didnt pick the ridiculous blink and miss desi girl roles...she is so expressive and is a kickass dancer (IDGAF what anyone says she's awesome ok) I wish she had more variety in her roles I mean she isnt exactly typecasted as Anuskha is but I wish she would play an urban girl or work in a romcom or something once. I'm excited to see how she does movies with Arjun, ARK heck I'll even watch her with Ranbir who I despise🤢 I'd watch the movie only for her.

I agree with you, she's comfortable with herself and confident and she doesnt shove her image down our throats like Sonam does...Sonakshi is poised and adorable and charming in her interviews😳 plus the best thing about her I love is the fact that she doesnt give a shit about what anyone says about her weight (for me on a personal level I have struggled with weight loss all my life so its a very sensitive topic for me and to see an actress not give two hoots about the size zero body image is encouraging to me...one of the reasons why JLaw is my idol too)

someone sign Ranveer and Sona in a dark comedy like Kaminey or urban romance or something...ughh want to see these two again ASAP.

I kind of felt disappointed though because I couldn't stop thinking about how Anushka completely ruined her face. She can't even smile like she once used to.

I don't know if you've watched it since it's from way back when & not even an interview, but they did a meet and greet thing for LVRB. I remember sitting through this and just noticing all these moments where you can see the comfort and understanding between them in implicit gestures. Anushka was not comfortable with the guys and check out what both her and Ranveer do every time one comes around:

It speaks for a lot I think when he's almost in that 'protector' role for her. He is a very sensitive guy.

Yeah, we can thank tools like Adi Chopra for lowering the self-esteem of perfectly good-looking women by reinforcing how they're nothing special so that it becomes a thorn in their side and they continue feeling like they are 'lacking' or being marginalized from what they deserve because they're not 'beautiful' enough. Maybe there will be some magical incident and her face, speech, everything that's suffered due to this crap will fix itself. One can only hope.

This is a first for me; I actually enjoyed reading an interview of Ranveer Singh. He's not so bad as I assumed him to be

@ Tani: For sure, as girls and young women, we can relate to Sonakshi because as you said, many face the same pressures that she may feel due to her image. But the way she has conducted herself thru all of that makes you feel good, it makes you relate to her and you feel that there are others who are doing big things despite of the so called "imperfections" termed by the judgmental society.

I for one have always liked Anushka, and I've always been excited for her work, because I genuinely do feel she's a good actor. It's unfortunate that she morphed so much just within 2 yrs; and what's all sad about it is that it mainly started to occur when she was doing so well professionally. When a bigwig Producer/Director reminds you constantly of your imperfections, then you start to believe that you're less. Ranveer was called ugly as well, in fact Adi had separately told both of them they need to work "harder" simply because they're not good looking. He's a guy, and lucky for him that our industry is filled with even more unappealing men so the pressure didn't get to him. Anushka on the other hand really suffered I feel internally and externally...she was so outspoken, funny, and direct in her intvws near BBB, something obviously drastic happened with her that made her do a complete 180. It's really sad. That's why I feel that at least if she gains some sort of security back on the professional front, it will aid her in believing in herself once again. I'm sure one way or another we all can relate with Anushka...we are all vulnerable at many times in life, it's easier for us though because we are not always competing, but it's harder for her to cope with it.

PS - Aditya needs to be shown the mirror for once.

for sure...another one of the reasons why i admire JLaw, Adele, Arjun, Sonakshi, Parineeti, Rani, Huma, Vidya etc all of them who have struggled with weight issues..like I said on a personal level its encouraging to me to see these celebs not giving two hoots about who says what about their weight or body size and try to maintain that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and all should be revered. Which is why it sucks to see actresses like Vidya, Huma and Sonakshi and even Parineeti to get bashed here based SOLELY on their weight(people call her Hidimbakshi, and junior dinosaur and what not like WHAT THE actual F are you on🥱). If you want to criticize atleast comment on their acting or personality or whatever rather than their body😡🤢 (this goes for all actors/actresses body image isnt something that anyone should be criticizing on)

I agree with you about Anushka too, poor girl is so insecure about herself already (I remember watching her KWK interview) and literally seeing how her face lit up when Karan kept on praising her. I do feel bad for her that whatever may have happened to her on the personal front I hope she's out of it and her future projects work for her I genuinely do...I feel scared that she might end up going the Demi Lovato way and suffer from a psychological illness...some of her recent photoshoots are downright scary.

I feel its easier for the guys I mean look at Arjun and Ranveer its the sexist thinking of the industry, they're going to get the meatier roles compared to their female counterparts always, the guys get the higher pay and what not anyways and their shelf life is longer. The actresses have it tough as it is and on top of that that race to stay young and thin and beautiful, its so much pressure. Atleast with the guys they can go the character actor route after a certain age (like Rishi Kapoor and Nassuredein Shah) the girls unfortunately cant even do that.

just watched it right now. Ranveer was constantly looking at Anushka and understood everything that was going through her head.
what was up with that guy in the red shirt? seemed like a tharki for sure. 😕 And, Ranveer definitely sensed it..Ranveer's face is a bit err..he looks at Anushka and sees it all. And, in the end..she just walks over to his side and he makes sure he's standing right by her. As you said, it's as if he's protective of her. In that same interview I mentioned a few pages back...Ranveer also said how he hates it when people write negative stuff about Anushka..it actually pisses him off more when he reads negative press about her vs stuff about himself..which basically sums up a lot.

I really want Anushka to do extremely well in 2014. She has great films lined up..I've always liked Anushka, in fact I'd go as far as saying she's one of my favorites when it comes to these newer actresses. The only thing that puts me off is what she did to herself and it's more like disappointment than anything else...but, I still can't help but root for Anushka the actress. Oh and, I'd love to see her work with Ranveer again..who knows, maybe that'll fix everything? 😆 And, Adi definitely lowered her self esteem..it just stuck with her forever I feel.

Oh man, sometimes I do wish to live a starry life, but I would not last a day with my competitive and emotional outlook. 😆 In fact Anushka looked unhealthy last year and in some of her pictures, she was so thin and frail. When personal relationships and professional moves start to take a toll on your body and health, then you know you need to step back and look at the larger picture.

Sonakshi gets bashed for her forehead, for her body weight..in fact all the other girls do get picked on for every tiny detail. We live in such a sexist society...no one picks on the men ever. So I do, just to balance the scale. 😆

Hopefully all of us on our personal fronts are able to deal with our insecurities, mainly relating body image. I've realized that at the end of the day nothing lasts...what I am worrying for today will not even matter in front of all the worries I may have to deal with tomorrow or next week. There's much more to life than how I look, or how much I weigh or how my nose is shaped (yep I've a horrible nose!) 😆. In fact I've decided that before I marry (if I do!) I am going to dress in sweats, have hair in a bun, no make up (acne will show!), hair all crazy and then ask my man if he can deal with this. If not, then aint nobody got time for you! 😆
