Fame hasn't affected Yami Gautam
DC | Natasha Coutinho | 5 hours 30 min agoYaami Gautam, who made an impressive debut in 'Vicky Donor', is finally going to have her second release after almost a year. The film, titled 'Aman Ki Asha', is a cross-border love story that stars Ali Zafar opposite Yaami. Besides this project, she is also poised to begin shooting for another film with Ajay Devgn. Even though Yaami seems to have come a long way from her television days, the actress insists that she hasn't let fame affect her.
She says, "People who know me well are aware that I am an introvert and take time to get along with people. I am very close to my family and friends from school. With my schedule it's rare that I get to visit my hometown Chandigarh. So my family comes to Mumbai to spend time with me. Right now a holiday with my family at Mauritius is on the agenda."
Yaami may have travelled the world for work, but the actress says her heart lies in South India. "I have travelled a lot down South due to my acting assignments. I was shooting in Mysore sometime ago and I have fond memories of the place. It's a small town that's very peaceful, green and rejuvenating." Yaami is very pleased with the way her career is shaping up.
