WAS KATRINA KAIF DROPPED FROM AN ENDORSEMENT DEAL OVERNIGHT AND SECRETLY REPLACED BY AISHWARYA RAI?

While she is one of the reigning queens in Bollywood in terms of bagging endorsement offers, Katrina Kaif was recently in for a rude shock. According to sources, Kat had apparently already signed the contract for an advertisement deal with a real estate giant but the deal was whisked away from right under her nose without her knowledge.

Incidentally, the plum offer fell into Aishwarya Rai Bachchan€™s lap next, for which her name was officially announced a couple of days ago. Insiders say Katrina is extremely upset with the way the construction company dealt with her, keeping her in the dark about her sudden exclusion.

Says a source, €œAsh€™s name was announced with great fanfare. But it was actually Kat who had been approached first and she had even signed the dotted lines. However, the contract got stuck for some unknown reason and she was unceremoniously dropped from the project.€

A friend of the actress says, €œKat had no idea she had been replaced by Ash.€ Katrina€™s spokesperson states, €œKat is approached by many brands and it is not possible to sign all of them. It is not fair to discuss any names.€ The spokesperson of the real estate company however says, €œWe were in discussions with various individuals and could not proceed with Katrina due to certain clashes in her positioning vis- - vis our brand positioning. The discussions with her took place in May and early June.

The fact that they have woken up now to the issue after so long, shows that this is nothing but an usual case of sour grapes.€ Before allegedly moving on with Ranbir Kapoor, Kat is believed to have dated Salman Khan who was formerly in a relationship with Aishwarya. Kat also is the next Dhoom heroine while Ash starred in the franchisee€™s last installment. Kat was also rumoured to star in the Dostana sequel after Ash was said to have walked out.
