Chennai Express Thursday (15th August) Collection Early Trends. Looking Huge.

Chennai Express Thursday Collection is heading for a big number as per early trends. Film is into 7th Day at Box Office, but has again started well on 15th August, which is also National Holiday on occasion of Independence Day.

Chennai Express has taken a 50-60% opening in Morning shows on Thursday. This is by far the biggest start of the weekdays. Film from Noon Time is registering 70-80%+ occupancy which is just huge. Many Housefull or near about Housefull shows are recorded for the day. Even Advance Booking report for the rest of the shows for the day is extremely good.

CE registered an occupancy of 75% in Delhi City for Noon-Afternoon shows. In Mumbai City occupancy for the same is around 80%. In Gurgaon occupancy for the same is around huge 90%.

Film is heading for a big total today. Although it is to be stated that Screens of CE is reduced to around 2600-2700 from 3600+ from yesterday. Though it is too early to make any statement, but looking at the samples received film is heading for 15 crore nett (bare minimum). If Night shows performs well and major single screen report which is still to be received performs well then even a 17-18 crore nett is possible for the day, which will just be humongous. Chennai Express has till now broken all records at box office and is looking to cross 150 crore nett by the end of the day. Thus, it will become 5th film in History of Indian Box office ever to do so.
