Yes definitely! It's only because people have watched the film that they can't consider anyone else as Pakhi but Sonakshi!

But as someone noted, Deepika would have to had work on her Dialogue delivery a lot!

deepika is improving but sonakshi is a complete natural...and thts wht translates into a flawless performance...its not just abt delivering ur dialogues properly or giving the right expressions...its ease infront of the camera, the ability to convince the audience that ur the character...I dunt think deepika has that quality...

she started off bad and kept improving whereas sonakshi was never really considered a bad performer...its just tht she didn't do good roles at the start and hence, her abilities were never explored...

I think if deepika keeps improving, she will be capable of giving good performances, but I dunt think she has the calibre to do what sonakshi did in lootera...tht requires an uncanny submission and spontaneity infront of the camera and unfortunately, thts something tht cant be learnt...it needs to come naturally...

NO, Deepika would have destroyed the movie.

Sonakshi looks best in Indian attire and she did well in the movie and looked the part.

Deepika only looks good in western attire that's why people liked her the most in Cocktail. She looks very old and weird in indian attire biggest example of that is CE, where she looks very unattractive. And in Lootera the classic look was important and since Deepika can't look good in indian attire then forget her as Pakhi.

Haven't seen Lootere, but still once a role is performed by an actor and dat too a well-characterised role and d actor as excelled in that role than it's difficult to envisage another actor in dat role!

Same can be said for Sonakshi...could she have played Veronica in Cocktail??? I guess no.

in pakhi role they need a certain innocence child like charm , deepika dont have that , i saw her movie "break ke baad " where her role was like that " a kiddish girl type who is so noughty " , she was not convincing in that role, she looks so mature , not at all child like , she was making faces just to show she is a child 😆

i dont think so..sonakshi's dialogue delivery and expressions were brilliant..infact better than many established bollywood actresses..dpad has a long way to go ..sometimes she stares into the camera blankly and struggles to deliver the heavy dialogues..
