...coz I would not even catch Ramaiyaa Vastavaiyaa free on TV.

I think all the young actors who are being talked about will not only survive but thrive. It still may be the Khans' era but I feel younger actors are gradually gaining stronghold in the industry. How much longer can the senior actors last? The Amitabh Bachchan era too ended at one point of time. Honestly, I for one do not want to see wrinkly old men romancing 20-somethings. The generation has changed, so will their favourites. My favourite is of course Sushant Singh Rajput, and I see potential and spirit in him to do well.

IMO none of the girls and guys who are depending on 1-2 mentors can survive for long. They are spoon fed by their mentors and will last only as long as their mentors have a fancy for them. While it must be tough to say no to your mentor one must be tactful enough to do so. Most of the 2012 and 2013 debutantes fall in this category.

The star kids will stick around for a while just because of their parents' connections.

I think Sushant, among the new kids on the block, would go far. Ayushman, I'm not sure about. Can't think of anyone else at the moment.

For females, maybe Yami even though I like her. She probably won't last long in BW but she might have a better career with Tamil and Telugu films.

What's a long run?
20 Yrs, 30 Yrs?
A debut hit gives you a shelf life of 12 years, easily. Look at Bobby Deol. He's been around for 20 years now. Akshaye Khanna, Aftab, Vivek, Tushhar, Abhishek. Still here for the long haul.
Record number of movies are being made. Each corporate house churns out 10-12 releases a year. Each and everyone of these actors will have a job in 12 years.

Actresses on the other hand, different story. A top actresses has a shelf life of a flop actor. 10-15 years. Pari will probably be the only one still around in 10 years.

RK, yes. Cause he is giving hit movies so far.

Shahid? Well. I always think he is the Salman version of upcoming era. Even after completing 10 years and having a mediocre career (Better than AB's) --- he is still ruling people's hearts. One or two good movies and he's Good to go. I'm sure by the time he hits at least AB's age, he'll have a hit or two and giving RK competition. 😆

That Aashqui2 guy is here to stay.

Arjun, Ayushman, Varun will be saying bye-bye in couple of years. Sure they are talented and do good work, but it's my personal opinion, you also need a certain commercial charm/personality and look that they are lacking.

Sidhart? Will decide after his second movie. Ranveer? Weirdly he is here to stay.

In girls department - They are all here to stay.

Well.

It's tough to say right now.

As long as the big guns are still here, no one wants to think about these actors.

Whether it be Arjun, or Aditya Roy Kapoor, or Sid or whomever unless they can give a fair few hits in the next two/three years apart from their great debuts... they'll all blur. But I think they will. Top stars are fading. The audience are liking age appropriate actors (I would say the success of A2 /YJHD is largely due to the age appropriate casting rather than the stories as such)

Personally I don't like any of the new actors. Who knows if they give a good performance or two, I'll be forced to change my mind.

Well newcomers have to come in coz how long can the oldies last. Sallu, SRK, Aamir, Akshay, etc r all on the other side of 40. The heroines in 20s.

But having said that not all the young lot seem lasting types.

Acc to me Alia, Parineeti, Ranveer, Arjun won't last.

Tusshar (AB for that matter too) is surviving on his sister's production and family's money. Plus, he seems to be doing secondary roles more so he doesn't count.
