Yupp, to some extent nearly everyone on this forum is a hypocrite...fans, bashers, neutral members, so-called neutral members, moderators, etc. It's just that some just hide it better than the others while others really make it obvious. Either way, hypocrisy and double standards are something which I find REALLY annoying...maybe that's why I've started to dislike this place so much since the past few months. Oh well.

Ranbir is one good actor but oh i dislike him so much off screen and he is one ugly looking actor for me! and This is so lame to say surname really work in BW! because so many stars kids still roaming in BW the biggest exemple itself Abhishek Bachan! Ranbir have to get the credit of his acting ability not for his surname this guy is amazing on screen i must say!
When it comes to Ranbir or any star kid...One can't say surnames don't make it easier...because it does. Every. Single. One. Doesn't mean everyone will be on top or they aren't going to fail but it does mean they have an advantage.
Funny you bring Ranbir up because i was thinking about something similar as well...when he debuted, he was the "flop" debut and Imran was the "hit" debut. Everyone called Ranbir the underdog and how he is going to come up on top. And he did...with his effort. True, I understand that. His hardwork and luck and brain to choose scripts can't be taken away from him. But one cannot ignore his surname and the CURIOSITY that came with it. Everyone knew of him and that made it easier. Maybe the audience didn't know who exactly Ranbir Kapoor was or what he looked like before but everyone knew Rishi Kapoor's son. The Kapoor that is supposed to take the legacy forward. So no matter how flop or hit a star kid is in the beginning...the curiosity does have an advantage. But he is a hard working actor and no can take that away from him now. He proved.I don't think one can say people are hypocrites when it comes to rooting for newcomers...because at the end of the day, this IS an entertainment bussiness. Rooting for stars in general, underdogs or not, is what keeps the cycle going. Just because there are new faces people are rooting for now doesn't mean Ranbir is any less. In Ranbir's case...this is a happy situation. Like him or not, he reached somewhere. So by rooting for other stars...its a accomplisment on Ranbir's part. People accept that he reached somewhere higher than he was before. Some like him some don't, but no one can ignore the fact that he has made a name for himself. So now that he isn't being rooted for...its his win. Doesn't mean people don't support him anymore...He just has reached somewhere and so now people are moving forward. That's how i look at it.And again, its an entertainment bussiness. Fresh faces is what makes it fresh. Literally. So the craziness that any new face gets, its what Ranbir had. Espeically the "underdogs". Be it Ranveer or Sidharth or Arjun. Its a cycle. It's bound to happen. And when it comes to hypocrisy in this forum. I think the quicker one understand whatever you read here isn't verdict of Bollywood, the better. If you notice, us here in this forum are often wrong about things. Be it movies success or an actors star power. This forum or the people ARE NOT the verdict of Bollywood. Plus, this forum is nothing compared to what people actually think of stars. Its worse out there. This is just a taste. Opinions change, likings change, dislikes change...it happens. People are bias. People tend to invest engery in the wrong thing..."hating" "bashing" whatever. Lol.Just look at this this way...its nice to have different opinions and views. It would be boring without that.Like something a memeber says? Great.Agree with a memebr? Great.Dislike something a memebr says? Still great. Scroll through it.Disagree with a member? Still great. Have a convo about it rather than sulking behind a screen and if the other is no cooperating. Scroll through it.When there are movies, stars, popularity, box office, forum members, likings, dislikes, whatever involved, "fan hypocrisy" will always be. Espeically online because its so much easier to say what you want and then change it. Faceless people. You and I and everyone else.Plus, this forum is a spec of dust on the impact that has on the stars. For example...Memebers here screaming about how disgusting somone is doesn't make them get any less movies. Lol.As my Volleyball coach used to say: Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one.Oh btw...i use the word "you" in general. Not directed.EDITED...By the way, nice disscussion topic. (:Mahn, i am talkative through typing too. Okay, i'll stop.😆 😆
