It was also very predictable..the moment he tells sonakshi about the dalhousie murti, I figured something was amiss..maybe it was intended! I don't know!

for me the star of the movie is the visuals and the cinematography! I've often heard the term "poetry in motion"..today I saw it! Everything is SO SO SO beautifully captured!

Next come the songs! All of them are perfect fits! Specially manmarziyan! Ankahee not in the movie..no fair:(

The actors..Ranveer was okay! Sonakshi my love! I've always thought of Sonakshi as someone with a pretty face..Almost as pretty as Vidya when it comes to classic beauty! This movie..umm..I realized she's a damn powerful actor but not as pretty as I thought(I'd only seen her photoshoots, never a movie)..But she's as good as everyone claimed!

Can I just give a 5/5 score for Vikrant Massey..man he's so good..and I got to see Divya Dutta(even though she had nothing to do in the movie)...yayyyi!!

Special mention: The use of silence in some scenes and the use of switching on/switching off the bulbs! Brilliant concept!

Rating: 3.75/5(yeah I liked Raanjhanaa more coz this had a weak story)+1(for Vikrant)

Oh..and my all time favorite lyricist is Gulzar saab..the only time someone has come close was Swanand Kirkire for Parineeta! Amitabh Bhattacharya..you just reached there! I love love love you!!!! :D

Not just that scene Pri, before also Vikrant-Ranveer's conversations make it clear that something is wrong and he's there for an ulterior motive..I dunno just the way he was surveying the haveli too when he entered. Not to mention, Ranveer again and again says, "I want to paint a masterpiece"...I knew right then that it would be the leaf. From the minute it starts, I knew exactly how it was going to end...and I didn't even see a lot of the trailers for this film...and seriously, its really raining on my parade how weak and predictable the storyline actually was.

Akahaee played in end credits :)

I agree. Sonakshi is not as beautiful as the movie stills suggested...especially all dolled up..I was just like, who is the idiot designer/make up artist..she does not look good at all. She looked much better make-up free and with the dark bags under her eyes ironically. 😆

@bold-there was no story..it was one of the flimsiest scripts ever...and after having garnered so much praise by everyone...mujhe tou apne aap mein gadbad lag rahi hai!!

I beg to differ. The first 40 mins of the movie was mostly all the scenes from songs. All the "romantic scenes" between the leads were shown in the songs. So it was just repetitive feeling.

The twist was not a surprise. From the very first moment it was clear Ranveer had an ulterior motive.

Yeah it was a simple story. Cinematography was the main hero.

^ Yeah the only part they didn't reveal was the con or else mostly everything was shown in the songs and dialogue previews.

^^also the gun scene..when the barrel is empty! 😆

Oh god I have so many things to talk about the film here...don't know where to start and where to end...

Exactly..her make up in the first half is bad..I mean when she smiles she looks nice, but when she pouts or her face is normal-the look doesn't work for her! and I found her better looking without make up too! The scene when she's struggling with Ranveer(coz she doesn't want him to give her the shot), that was funny!😆

oh..she looked really really nice in the intimate scene(the half kiss)...like really nice:)

I dunno if Motwane intended to make everything so obvious? I would think yes because he paid such close attention todetails to everything else so I can't imagine him doing a half-assed job on the story by mistake. I skipped most of reviews...well I saw it so early that there wasn't much to read except "poetry in motion" anyways 😆 ...haha so I'm not the only one because the more I think about Lootera, the more underwhelmed I feel..since Thursday I've been thinking mujhmein pakka kuch gadbad hi hai but you just made me feel better..😆

Don't get me wrong, I still liked the movie, enjoyed it and I loved many things like the
cinematography (if it doesn't win awards I will throw a fit), attention to detail, symbolism, songs, direction, acting...but I guess somewhere the overall product doesn't come together in that way for me that it has for everyone else. I think the story and ...little character development (especially for Ranveer) is what is bothering me..perhaps I need that the most to connect in that way. I dunno..I feel weird...I don't get it. I don't. 🤔😆 Maybe I need to rewatch it. I found Udaan better..much better.

Yeah, she looked really good in the kiss scene...and then she looked great all through Dalhousie.
