Ameesha goes into a flashback
Blames 'filmi politics' for losing out on a film to Kareena 12 years ago!

During a radio interview to promote her new film Shortcut Romeo, Ameesha Patel left her co-star Neil Nitin Mukesh stumped. In the course of the chat she spoke about how she was ousted from Subhash Ghai's 2001 film Yaadein featuring Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor, due to filmy politics. Amisha didn't stop there. She went on to express relief and happiness at her alleged ouster, considering how the film finally turned out.
The remark triggered off a chain of offended sensibilities. Says a member of the team who accompanied the actors, "When Amisha said this we were all shocked. Neil didn't know where to look. He went red in the face. Actors as a rule don't talk about the roles that they don't do, and that too in a gloating tone celebrating the said film's failure."
As for Subhash Ghai he chose not to react to an acrimonious salvo that seems to have come 12 years too late.
"God bless you," was all Ghai would say to Amisha.
