I think the audience is a lot more restless than it was a few years back. Single screens included. People want new content all the time. That could explain Ashiqui2's success too alongside YJHD while Himmatwala tanked.

Yes this helped too I guess. But the film has done better than RR or Ready. Its being compared to Dabangg2 and ETT which were Salman's biggest hits in recent times.

Fastest hundred after ETT (which had Independence Day and Eid holidays..ETT had mega stars Salman & Katrina😲)

Let other films of Ranbir and other stars release..will get a clearer picture after the release of Besharam,CE,D3 and Krrish3

just the timing, aura, cast, some moments in the film, good time pass, songs, dance, chemistry...and after a while just a normal [modern] love story...

1. because at the moment there are no movies which the entire janta (as a majority has liked) in a while...i watched it n its not bad BUT its nothing so gr8 about it as well...

2. the big banner with the starcast

3. ex-flames coming together again

4. not to forget the overhype and promotions of the movie as if its one of its kind after mughal-e-azam or sholay 🥱
