I find it a bit fishy that the writer of this article has conveniently ignored ARK and Ashiqui2(the only blockbuster this year) while mentioning Race2 etc. ARK did have a small part to play but he is still riding high on Ashiqui2 success so his being in YJHD would have definitely benefitted the movie.

Looks like RK has some very strong support in indian media(even barfee was strongly marketed n hyped by media)

1. ranbir. he is the flavor of the season. coming on heels of barfi, everyone simply rushed to see biru again.

2. the packaging. kjo, ayan, ranbir, deepu, aditya, kalki. its young, fresh and of course targeted at youth.

3. the music. tho i find it average, but balam pichari, and badtameez did wonders.

but hey, still iffy about birus box office pull? how about lets all take a chill pill and wait for besharm. he already scored twice, hopefully his 3rd outing is bigger and better.
