no shes not justified at all. she took it upon herself to paint a negative image of india. she was just trying to make herself look like a pathbreaker so she made it sound like india is really opressive against women. also everything she said was utter stupidity (she called herself a superstar)i was watching zoom( i know its not the best news source) but some woman was like mallika toh duffer hai hi but the magazine should have researched who theyre interviewing and verifying what she said before they put it online.

Oh please, are you more interested in the reality of how India is for her ppl to live in or in how India "looks" to a bunch of effing outside ppl who have nothing to gain or lose?

Of course she was justified. If you really care about your country quit wasting everyone's time and lives worrying about how a bunch of strangers who don't have to live there "see" you and worry about the reality.

Make the image you want to present a REALITY and stop trying to effing SHOWBOAT for a bunch of foreigners who don't even give a rat's ass about your internal issues anyway.

Any place that ONLY sees women as stars if they are young, nubile & screwable by the lowest common denominator is regressive.

Maybe you only think your worth lasts as long as your parents are able to get you passed off to the highest bidder but come ON. That's NOT a progressive atmosphere.

And don't let some frog mouthed broad whose main claim to fame is that some old dude wants between her young legs and is willing to pay Will I Am or Lady Gaga to give her the time of day fool you.

She's got NO power except the power to make the old dude want to do her and pay dearly for the privilege.

Did she gain the top by HERSELF through talent---and no not her plastic surgeon's talent? Hell effing no. THAT, is regressive.

And the sad truth is that MOST countries (even the good old USA) need to progress. BUT at least we DON'T try to blame and imprison women because we can't be bothered to hold men responsible for THEIR lack of control.

They want sex, I want a Prada bag. but somehow I am arrested for taking the Prada bag.. In many countries men are given a slap on the wrist for taking sex, even from children.

YES, that's damned regressive...or even EVIL.

frankly speaking though i dont like her but her statement ws somewhat rite!!! as of nowun4tunately india is Not a safe place 4 girls and woman!!! everyday i hear about kidnappings and rape incidents of women!!!

after 3 days i am shifting 2 india permanently!!! jaane mera kya hoga!!!

She gave her opinion in a democratic, free country. I see no reason why it should be unjustified of her to say her piece. Whether or not what she said hold any water is another matter of debate, honestly...
