Like him a lot. As an actor he is outstanding, as a person too he is gracious, chivalrous and just generally very likeable😃

Please don't jump on me for my opinion..i know he hardly has any fans in this forum but I truly admire him. End of.

C'mon how can u like a person just for his acting and movies he have done? Ignoring all his deeds and nature.

First got married to much bigger star then Jaya and ended her career by stopping her to play in movies. With his uncontrollable PICKHARI.
He then fcuked around with almost all leading ladies... like some THARKI ...

Parveen Babi, Amrita Singh, Zeenat... and to top them all REKHA. Making her his mistress using her whenever he liked and finally kicking her out of his life.

If that was not enough he gets his own daughter in law prego and makes babies . DISGUSTING ...

How can anyone like him is beyond my imagination !

He's a good actor now and I didn't like his youth version. I'm too bored to hate him or anybody in general 😆

As persons almost all Bollywood stars have flaws, blunders and scandals to their credit. I would not single out only Big B here.

As an actor, an artiste he is unmatched. He's the Gold Standard for the craft and stardom. I admire how he worked on himself. His earlier films were a joke. He looked kind of listless. He didn't even know how to use his voice (no wonder AIR rejected him).

I am amazed how he developed his personality, learnt voice modulation, honed a unique style for himself, worked on his body language and always kept improvising on his craft. Even at the peak of his stardom he'd say in interviews that he still needed to work on many aspects of his acting.
He has immense passion for what he does.

I think he's also pretty smart and clever. He expanded stardom and role of Bollywood stars like no other. He's the first one to reach out to audiences abroad through world tours and concerts. Before him stars only attended film festivals or sports tournaments to be cultural ambassadors.

He also reaches out to fans like no other star. Personally replies to fans, acknowledges gifts sent by diehard fans, meets fans who run dedicated blogs, FCs, temples, museums dedicated to him. He's never forgotten to acknowledge the people who made him.

What I find inspirational about him is his never say die spirit. Any other star would've crumbled after what Amitabh faced from mid 80s through 90s. But he kept going.

They pitied him when he dabbled in event management, TV, music videos and ads. All of this was considered below standard for a movie star of his stature. He initially suffered losses but later struck gold.
Today everyone follows his footsteps.

I am amazed by his ability to reinvent himself, explore new avenues and foresee future trends and keep pace with changing times. He is into nostalgia too like any other old person. But he does not grumble about present or give up participation in it the way others do.
He knew regional cinema would grow, his production house invested in them. He's highly active in leveraging social media and makes effort to take to technology.

He gives hope to people - young or old. He's epitome of ageing gracefully and keep going on even at old age. He proved in true sense that age was just a number.

I kind of appreciate he still has certain ethics in place. He wouldn't let media pry into his or his family's personal space. Everyone speculated on value of Brand Bachchan after Abhi-Ash marriage. But he has so far refrained from peddling his family in package deals for ads, photoshoots, films.

On the flipside, he has serious scandals associated with his name.Bofors, accusation of inciting rioting mob in 1984 anti Sikh riots, shady land deals, extra marital affairs etc. In recent times he has become crazy for recognition and publicity (those blogs and tweets are an embarassment!), his thoughts on women are definitely regressive, he's badly partriarchal to the point of being MCP at times, the obvious pride at his family and connections is kind of nauseating (but then very few families have so many achievers in their family), his open participation in weird upaay before Abhi-Ash marriage was really embarassing and encouraged superstition...
I don't like what he has become now. His offscreen persona sometimes comes across as outright obnoxious of late.

I only focus on what he is onscreen and how he handled his career as a professional.
He's been so brilliant in his career that it is kind of depressing to focus on his personal life and weird real life persona now.

Partly Jaya is also to blame for this stupid display of family pride. She was way more connected than Amitabh. It's said she was always proud of her lineage and connections and highly outspoken even when she was new to the industry.

I think the way she served her husband after his fatal accident, has made him more likely to be influenced by her. Amitabh was attached to his family. But this show off seems to be more of a brainchild of Jaya. Also their son hasn't done well in his career, so to stay relevant and assert their status they shout about themselves and their lineage.

I think his poetry recitals for Harivanshrai Bachchan are a sham. If he were so concerned about literature and poetry, he'd have started a foundation in his father's name to encourage writers, reward them and popularise their works among masses. ARR has music school,Mangeshkar family has hospitals, music schools and awards to encourage artistes.

Only Bachchans are selfish and have not put their family influence to good use.

They have connections with some of the most corrupt politicians.

Some of their good samaritan works are a way to cover up for their illegal works - eg. that school to be built on disputed land in UP.

They do charity like other stars but of late they've begun to publicise it (seems like combined effect of SMJ and Being Human).

Their political participation has mostly been for their own personal benefit.

I believe they shout too much but their family is more reliant on media hype or AB Sr alone, than actual influence or excellence of all family members. Koi ni poochta inko if not for Bachchan Sr.

I like Big B as a standalone. Thr moment his family comes into picture, it's all a train wreck!

Amazing actor. Thorough professional. Very very impressive in person.

A very dicey human-being. You can only love his films and his baritone.

Seriously.

Oh yeah?! You did DNA test to determine who Aaradhya's father was?!

Kuch bhi?

Which actor or cinema person didn't have affairs?! SRK is accused of having affairs with men!Aamir reportedly had affairs with most of his actresses till early 2000s, and even with journo Barkha Dutt plus that illegitimate child with British journo who he refused to acknowledge. He even did not marry Kiran till he had "dated" and "lived in" with her for over a year!
Salman Khan's list of scandals fills up pages of media since the day he entered this industry! Likhna shuru karo toh agla din chadh jaaye likhte likhte!

Dev Anand was shameless enough to openly talk about affairs with all his heroines in his autobiography.

Dilip Kumar had affairs, openly supports Pakistan (he went to accept Nishaan E Pakistan soon after Kargil war!), he's a thrice married guy, who left one wife simply because she was unable to beget him a son and later married a woman more than half his age!

Kishore Kumar was eccentric, drunkard, philanderer, egomaniac.

Deols' family history and twisted relationships can put anyone to shame!

Kuan hai doodh ka dhula yahan?!

How can you like others for their acting or singing alone, ignoring their scandals in personal life?!

There are many great scientists, artists, writers, inventors, army generals, educators and even religious heads who've had questionable deeds attributed to them in their personal lives.

But that does not stop people from idolising them for the exceptional work they did in their fields!

Aur please! Har baat ki hadh hoti hai. You can believe about stuff for which there's some proof (even faint one). This bit about Aaradhya being a result of Amitabh's so called affair with Aishwarya is filthy figment of imagination!

I sometimes get surprised at this forum! Sometime back someone was discussing if Salman's adopted sister has hots for him! Yuck!

There should be a limit to gossip and trash talk!

How'd you feel if someone talked about you or your family this way?

If personal lives are taken into consideration then no one is likeable in this world!
