Air india is the worst airline , but agree with dex, she should have rather commented on service/inconvenience than aging remark.

My parents(who never complain about anything) recently had to take AI because of an emergency travel and even they were so mad that they made a mistake of using AI for their travel... No meal serving everything will be placed at front and they have to go and get it themselves, which sounded ridiculous.

Same here. I missed my British Airlines from London to B'lore and they booked me on AI instead.🥱 10 hrs of plain torture and that after 10 hr flight from US to London. And the hostesses whom she is talking about are the ones who give immigration forms and they are so rude. Have been through this more than couple of times now even though I never book AI 😆. So yeah Air India employees should be retrained on how to treat customers,generally hospitality.

Air India does provide pretty bad service but I don't like the way she's emphasized "younger" here. It's ageist. An air hostess can be old and inefficient but there's no reason to point out the fact that she's old. That's associating a negative stereotype with an age group. When she cools down from her experience, she should definitely tweet an apology.

Well...here i m in total agreement with Preity Zinta!!

AI is one of the most Pathetic airlines i have EVER travelled...even local domestic flights r much better!!😕😕

1. once while i was travelling Delhi to London...the AC duct above me started leaking water...n air hostess refused to switch my seat saying that she cant do that! n on top of that assured me that it is only for few mins n will stop once flight comes to cruiise altitude!! W*F! 😡 they knew its a common prblm but expected passenger to co-operate..rather than correct the problem!!

2. Once i was travelling London to Delhi, i was given a window seat...n some guy just randomly came n sat on that seat..i asked AI guys to tell him to vacate my seat n go back tio his seat,...Initially i told the guy n he dint listen to me...then i contacted AI staff...the AI ppl refused saying that they cant do that..n asked me to co-operate instead 😡 ...i had a huge fight n even logged a complaint against..but i had to travel back in another seat n not the one booked my me!! 😡😡

3. The aunties...yes AUNTIES..who r by chance air hostess r very rude on AI!! they need to srsly learn some manners..esp while waking ppl up...they shud realise there r ppl who r travelling since 30 hrs n can conk off badly n need a lil bit more care!!!😡😡

It was my old company policy to book tickets only on AI..n thats y i suffered so much...thankfully now they dont book ticktes on AIR India AT ALL>.so i havent met the aunties since ages!!

so yea PZ is very much right...i m in complete support of what she said!!

And any company should hire younger people...while phasing out the older ones..Air India for some reason does not do that...

Air India hire Air Hostesses not strippers or po*n stars...

And for service not being good well even young Air Hostess perform badly...Air India is never know for good service...age has no relation with service..

Can you please tell me how do you fire people with respect?? A lost job can never be respectful unless they have volunteered for VRS...or quit the job.

IIRC ...58 years is the age of retirement and after certain age Air India move these Air Hostess to some other department rather than flying. So calling them 60 years old is highly exaggerated..they are not even 50.
