Varun Dhawan signs another film; Produced by Saif

Varun Dhawan, despite being touted as one of the most promising newcomers, has not been on signing spree like his fellow debutantes. Having only signed 'Main Tera Hero', directed by father David Dhawan, starring Nargis Fakhri & Ileana D'Cruz, his fans will be excited to know, the hearth-throb has yet another film lined up.

Saif Ali Khan, confirmed in an interview with Zoom tv (link below), that he will be producing a movie directed by Sriram Raghavan(Ek Hasina Thi, Agent Vinod) and starring Varun Dhawan. The movie is said to be a twisted, murder mystery, and as per industry rumours, may star, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Thankfully, Saif Ali Khan, did assure us, that there will be no sequel to Agent Vinod.

Varun has mentioned in several interviews that he would love to play, dark edgy characters, and it looks like this may be his first one.

As per reports the project, initially dubbed 'Happy Birthday' was meant to star John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai, but got shelved in the early stages. Saif, whose productions thus far(Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod, Cocktail and Go Goa Gone) have all starred himself, seems to be branching out in his production house. And what an interesting project to start with!

I think JG was produced by some small time producer or Raghavan himself. They couldnt release it thats why for a long time. Finally after lots of efforts on the part of the producers Adlab guys liked the film and agreed to get it released.

That proves one doesn't need big production house to promote a movie if the music is good. That Hard Kaur song was so popular, right?
