Haven't watched BT. But if what the author writes is true, then I'm disappointed. The reviews REALLY had me thinking that KJo had come of age. Tough luck. :|

Tobe fair, dibakar.had a nice story, he adapted a story written by satyajit roy, made it a little young age and a lil tweak here and there.

This person is acting like a dramaqueen. Oops another Gay stereotype. Why should gays get preferential treatment and be shown devoid of their stereotypical actions? Stop cribbing. Most of the ppl are stereotyped in Bollywood. Or even Hollywood.

Exactly!

That's why I said the writer himself is being too oversensitive!

So far I've only watched KJo's story from BT. But, I really applaud him for presenting a very realistic issue, that too with many complexed angles, with such ease. This is one time I'd say that KJo doesn't deserve the criticism he is getting.

Poori gay community ko "correctly" portray karne ka theka le rakha hai kia KJo ne?

He just showed one situation. Yes, all gays aren't like that. But, if we can easily show a guy cheating on his wife with another girl, or a girl breaking her best friend's home through so many daily serials or movies, then showing a gay person do that ain't anything too far off.

And there is one part that I really wanna trash the author for:

"And really, Karan, there are plenty of gay men who have kissed women multiple times without flipping their sexuality instantly. Someone please reassure Rani Mukherjee's character that one same-sex kiss doesn't have to spell the end of her heterosexual marriage."

Umm, hello, it is implied her husband is a closeted homosexual! That is enough reason to call off the relationship. It's not like he kissed the intern guy for some weird fun, that would have been another thing if he did. So, unless Rani wasn't a strong character, she'd have compromised. Good thing she didn't, how the heck is she supposed to live with a man she knows is in love with the other gender, and would never be truly happy with the relationship with her?
