Things about YJHD remind me a lot of LAK, both onscreen and offscreen.

During LAK, insecure GF of lead actor went around everywhere taking credit for the film and acting like it was her film, ignoring the lead actress completely.

Similarly again here, we have the insecure GF of the lead actor taking advantage of the fact that the lead actress is too tied up with other commitments/shooting schedules going haywire and hence cannot make all the events to promote...so insecure GF is apparently doing the needful for lead actress. There is no need to show up everywhere related to the film at all. Its not her film. Premiere is different, but promotional events, wrap up parties, choosing THIS time (when BF's film with his ex and a film with great buzz around it) to more or less confirm that "yes we're together, yeah I'm gonna be the next Kapoor bahu" just reeks of insecurities IMHO. Now Kareena loves to talk and says everything. Katrina is quieter but her intentions are the exact same as Kareena's. I don't see Ranbir promoting Kat's films ever. I don't remember Deepika promoting Ajab either. Katrina doesn't even bother with Ranbir's other films either...but this one is special eh. 😆

It does look like LAK rehash promotional events included.
I hope the story is different bcoz I dont like that movie

All girlfriends are insecure, especially when you are dating Ranbir. Didn't Deepika also pay random surprise visits to the shooting locations of APKGk when she was dating Ranbir?
And this event seems to be a private party hosted by Vidya and Siddharth Kapoor. Blame them for inviting Katrina and not Deepika.. I am sure Katrina did not gate-crash a party hosted by Vidya and her hubby.

Deepika shooting for CE, I'm guessing CE will be more important😆 so this party is sid and vidya's party, I always find it sweet how they celebrated dp's birthday
