Imo,

Aashiqui = EXCELLENT MUSIC ... weak movie (but was a hit due to music)

Aashiqui 2 = EXCELLENT MOVIE ... weak music (as compared with Aashiqui)

nice topic! Aashiqui 2 is obvioulsy a better movie, but Aashiqui 1 had slightly better music, have u watched Aashiqui 2 tanya?

hi Nikki, no I didn't watched aashiqui 2 but heard rave reviews and read that its a big hit.
seen trailers...thank God Aditya roy kapoor got rid of his birds' nest hair (contrary his hairstyle in guzaarish & action replyy) also shrradha kapoor looks much better then her debut luv ka the end

but I need to disagree here... aashiqui 2 music is nice... but aashiqui 1 music was not slightly better imo, it was a RAGE and still a RAGE among all musical films, one of the very few exceptional music ever came from hindi cinema

but imo Anu Agarwal was a good performer... she nailed her role as a poor orphan girl in 1990's Aashiqui..
also seen her other films like ghazab tamasha, king uncle & Khal-Naika in various roles and she was a good performer...
but I agree on Rahul Roy, he was a terrible actor throughout his career, and got much more chances in good films as compared to Anu Agarwal, but remained a dud.

I dint watch Aashiqui1 but I so wanna watch now :/ Aashiqui2 is a beautiful movie ❤️ yes weak music - I only liked few songs, my most fav song is Tum hi ho

Aashiqui (1990) is a MUST WATCH movie, mainly for the EXCEPTIONAL songs (all of them) that appears one by one in the movie 👍🏼

Urmn i find her a below avg actress tanya...seen King uncle too...plus was not dat pretty also...and Rahul was terrible...so compared to AKR and Shradddha...des two Anu and Rahul are pretty bad i think...dats just a personal opinion...😊

I am quite addicted to the songs of AASHIqui 2 tanya! I watched AASHIQUI 1, and I wouldn't call it a weak movie! It was pretty good!! I think both movies are good in their own way!

yes in King Uncle her role was silly and so was the movie... but in khal-naika a woman with revenge and in Aashiqui a passive orphan quite girl, I think she was very good... don't know about her acting much as she did very few movies as compared to Rahul Roy..
u know Anu was a GOLD MEDALIST in psychology, but had many emotional issues too , she had gone thru a long phase of depression and appeared after years in public... she was quite attractive for me.

But yeah...man o man... why Anu didn't got that many chances as Rahul... Rahul Roy had a career of around a decade (unlike Anu's one or 2 years' career) with all flop films post Aashiqui and extremely terrible acting in all of them.
If Anu Agarwal got that many chances in good films with big stars as Rahul Roy, she would had atleast been better then him career vice.
