Hmm...Ab kya kar sakte hai...they were going to take Vidya for Vidya's role but didnt happen...Kangana was fab too...but she was busy till last day in other film shootings for this year...John had to make up for her interview everywhere...
Promotion was extensive acc to Balaji productn...
Definitely less than some big films...Still I didnt expect good turnout...for his film. Its not like wholesome entertainer like houseful 2 singham type
Whatever it is...I am so happy with the reviews for the efforts everybody have put in

Force...it had good opening too...hope this too picks up!

Shootout At Wadala collected 8.25 crore nett approx on its first day. The first day territorial breakdown is as follows.

Mumbai - 3.30 crore

Delhi/UP - 1.41 crore

East Punjab - 50 lakhs

West Bengal - 29 lakhs

Bihar - 23 lakhs

CP Berar - 50 lakhs

CI - 37 lakhs

Rajasthan - 55 lakhs

Nizam - 46 lakhs

Mysore - 28 lakhs

Others - 30 lakhs

TOTAL - 8.19 crore

Shootout At Wadala First Day Collection

Shootout At Wadala has collected around 8.5-9 crore nett all India on Friday at the box office. Film started decently in the morning shows and then sustained well through the day and after that showed jump from evening shows. SAW performed majorly in Mumbai, Maharashtra circuit. Even places of CI performed well. But rest of India remained average to below average for the day.

SAW registered an occupancy of around 37-40% for the first day on average. Occupancy was bit high in Mumbai, CP Berar with around 55-60% on average for the day. Whereas places like Delhi registered an occupancy of around 35%. Gurgaon registered a decent occupancy of around 45-50%. Rest of India occupancy was on lower side varying from 30-35% on average.

Shootout At Wadala first day collection is pretty good considering the star cast, but is little below par when wide screen size of 2400+ is considered. Generally a film shows good jump on Saturday and Sunday. As for SAW reports are mixed and hope that it will show good jump through the weekend. As for ecocnomics, it such a start film has ensured the recovery and profit for itself as it is made on controlled budget.

1st day 8-9 very good indeed expects a healthy weekend of around 31-32cr

official figure nt disclosed yet bt expect it to be 35-40cr even more as its been released over a 2000-2500 screens

On the whole, Shootout At Wadala is a very violent film meant for the masses and the single-screen cinemas more than for the classes, families and multiplex-frequenting public. A large section of the womenfolk will keep away from the film due to the excessive violence and foul language. Its business in Bombay and Maharashtra will be good because of the flavour of the film. Since it has been sold to distributors for the various territories and its satellite rights have also fetched a huge amount of money, it will prove to be a profitable proposal for the producers but several of its distributors will not be able to recover their heavy investments.
