The lead stars of 'Chennai Express' have been literally soaking in the sights and sounds of Kerala. After shooting in Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone spent the last five days shooting for portions of two songs for their upcoming film with Kerala as the backdrop. The team shot for four days in Munnar before moving to Alappuzha on Monday for a day's shoot.
"The shoot in Munnar, though, was tough as it was raining. We couldn't shoot on two of the proposed four days because of the downpour," says a source present on location. The break, however, proved to be lucky for the two who, along with director Rohit Shetty, used the time to catch up on the ongoing IPL matches.
Unfortunately, the shooting schedule in Munnar had a lot more disruptions other than rain, says our source. "The roads are narrow, and getting 14 trucks of shoot equipment across was a challenge. Add to that the holiday crowd in the hills. There were always people wanting to click pictures with the stars. Shah Rukh was most accommodating. He posed with all of them. He also tried to learn a couple of Malayalam words while he was here. He tried one different Malayali dish every day," reveals our source.
