Siddharth Malhotra to star in KJo's The Fast and The Furious!

The news is true, there is a project brewing in the pots of Karan Johar's production house as we speak!
He has decided to team up for the third time with his favourite 'Student of the Year', quite literally, Siddharth for his upcoming project.
What is unbelievable about this news is that Bollywood is going to recreate the most pumped and pimped version of fast cars and illegal racing in the underbelly of some exotic locales right here in India! We have none other than the maker of many tear-jerker, eye-candy flicks, Karan Johar, who is at the helm of this ambitious project. Just hearing of the remake of Fast and the Furious in Hindi, makes one imagine a Maruti being packaged as a Ferrari and driven as a Lamborghini on the overcrowded roads and the gaping potholes!
Vin Diesel's claim to fame, this franchisee has had many successful outings in its original format. Starring as Dominic Toretto the elite street car racer and ex-convict, Vin Diesel scaled new heights with this venture and for any actor to replace those well filled out muscles is going to be nothing short of a mammoth task. Siddharth Malhotra, just one film old, has been asked to gear for what could be the biggest venture of his acting career or the biggest facepalm moment ever.
KJo has also made another interesting choice in getting ace choreographer and recently turned director Remo D' Souza to direct this ambitious project. This choice of a director seems like a real risk for Karan when he could have had the pick of the season amongst directors like Kabir Khan, Sanjay Gandhvi and the lot. The word in the market is that the film is going to be 'inspired' by the 'Fast and the Furious' franchisee and will retain the expectations attached with this genre of hot cars, hotter women and the uber-toned racers, however the team is hard at work giving final shape to the script so the shoot of the film can start by the end of the year.
A quick recap on the latest heartthrob Siddharth Malhotra: After having worked as an assistant director in many Dharma production films he finally got cast by his mentor, in the biggest candy-floss film of the year. He then bagged KJo's next production opposite Parineethi Chopra, after completing which he will embark on perhaps the turning point of his career, this remake of 'The Fast and the Furious'. This could propel him way ahead of his former classmates of SOTY!
This year will co-incidentally see the release of the 'Fast and the Furious 6' in May and the buzz for the Indian version is already being heard among the who's who of the film industry.
We definitely want to wish all the luck in the world to the team as they have decided to go boldly where no man has treaded before and for good reason, if you ask me!
