Hey guys I am back with new DOTW...This is my 3rd DOTW...the 1st one didnt work out that great...the 2nd one had many more posts which was good...and I hope in this 3rd one i get even more members to participate...so do participate and post your answers and opinions...so this week I decided to make a DOTW on KANK...since itz one of the most upcoming awaited movie of the year...So lets get started with the star cast.....

Summary

Ok so as usual I'll start the discussion by giving my answers first...so after I answer more members will start answering the questions and participate in the discussion:

1.) What do you think about the star cast...do you like it or not..and why?
~I think the star cast is good...itz nothing different cauz everytime theres always a SRK, Rani, Preity, Amitabh in a Karan Johar film...and to be honest i am really getting tired of watchin SRK always in a film with either Rani or Priety...I think he should start making films with other actresses also


2.) How do you think the movie is going to score at the box office?
~Well I know if will definitly be a Hit overseas..since SRK has alot of overseas fans following him...buh i am not too sure about how india is going to deal with the bold subject of extra-marital affaris...eventhough it is a mature love story

3.) What is your take on the subject of extra marital affairs that Karan Johar had attempted?
~I think its quiet different from his usual family dramas..and like Krrish its a new subject so it should do well

4.) Why do you think Karan Johar always adds guest surprises in his movies....is he afraid to take risk with the original star cast?
~Personally I think he shouldnt have geust appearances cauz that kind of makes ppl think that hez not quiet sure about his oringial star cast...so he always has to have a suprise element to have ppl glued to his movies

5.) How do you feel about Karan always casting the same actors in all his movie...what other actors/actresses should he approach?
~I am really fed up with him always having SRK/Rani/Kajol in all his films...his next movie is going to have John and Kareena and Sanjay Dutt..so am glad hez experimenting with other film stars also

6.) What type of awards do you think this film can win....and as far as i know i dont think anyone can win best actor or actress, because this is a milti-starer and SRK adn Abhi have the same lenght roles as Priety/Rani
~I dont think any of the four should get best actor/actress, becuase this is a multi-starrer and everyone has the same lenght role...buh it has really good music and if the script is good then it could win best music and best dialogues

7.) What do you think about SRK acting a cripple in the movie...and Rani having a disability of not conceiving?
~Its something different...cauz as far as i know both of them have never done such a role before...so it'd b good to watch that

8.) Any comments about the movie?
~No comments...just that i hope that it does well and recieves good feedback

well...i think the star cast is great!...i love all the stars srk, rani, preity, abhishek, amitabh bachan all of em. i think the the thing that makes me like the star cast the most is the jodi's lol. heheh😆...i just love srk n rani together n also abhi n rani so i woulndt make much of a diffrence to me who is with who. and not to forget preity haila shes my most fav😳.

2.) How do you think the movie is going to score at the box office?

obviously i feel the film will do god at the box office...wait!..let me correct that i feel its gonna do super good at the box offiice😳😆...but maybe not as good as fanna did thats what i feel😊.

3.) What is your take on the subject of extra marital affairs that Karan Johar had attempted?

donno to young to talk about it😳😆.

i dont really thint that hes afraid to take a risk with the original stars coz what can happen wrong with sucha a great star cast?...i mean the biggest and best stars of bollywood have teamed up for this movie but i think maybe he adds guest appereances just for that extra spark in the film😉.

5.) How do you .feel about Karan always casting the same actors in all his movie...what other actors/actresses should he approach?

i donno its his own choice maybe hes only comftable ( forgive me for my bad spelling😳)..with the same bunch of stars😊.

well i think it'll be a super duper hit!!

in fact, i'm against extra marital affairs, but i liked the serial Hasratein though! so i think it depends on how the characters are portrayed! if i sympathise with those who begin a extra marital affair then i don't mind it that much! i mean, if the person is really unhappy etc! but i still think extra marital affirs can't be justified!!! so karan took a huge risk!

4.) Why do you think Karan Johar always adds guest surprises in his movies....is he afraid to take risk with the original star cast?

no i think just to attract more and more viewers!

as far asfor now, i loved all his movies and that my fav actors wer in it was also a reason for that! i think he could try to approach more actors, but these are doing great!!

i still believe taht rani & SRK are the leads of the movie, so they will be in the best actor/actress category!

really sad, but these things are quite logical, in reality there are people with these kind of thing esp, being cripple or not able to conceive!😕

i'm really excited abt he movie, can't wait to see it! the songs are awesome!!! esp tilte song and MItwa!!😉

I love the starcast, it has ofcourse my all-time favourite Shahrukh Khan 😳 and rani, preity, amitji, abhishek so it's an awesome starcast, i will love to see all these actors on screen, and their characters, and since the theme is a bit different, how the actors portray their emotions and feelings 😊.

2.) How do you think the movie is going to score at the box office?

The movie will do superb at the box office, it will be a superhit since its a KJ film and it has a great star cast😳.

3.) What is your take on the subject of extra marital affairs that Karan Johar had attempted?

Karan Johar has tackled a different theme and I believe that its good that he's looking at these issues, because pple that watch the film can understand the the stress and emotions of those who are going thru the experience which will hopefully will teach others not to have an extra-marital affair, also those who are going thru this problem may find a solution or get some advice from the movie, maybe somthing will come up which will help them solve their own problems in life. Even though i have never been in this situation, it'll help others who are.

4.) Why do you think Karan Johar always adds guest surprises in his movies....is he afraid to take risk with the original star cast?

I wouldn't say that Karan is afraid to take risk with the original star cast but maybe he uses guest experiences to add a bit of flavour to the film or to relieve a stressful moment, like providing some joy after a stressful scene 😉 and as a viewer, i love guest appearances 😳 because i always get really excited when I see a surprise 😆.

5.) How do you .feel about Karan always casting the same actors in all his movie...what other actors/actresses should he approach?

I don't think it's a bad idea, i mean he wants a cast that can best essay the characters and also to make the film a success, if he's comfortable with his cast then thats good because u won't be able to comfortably direct a movie if u don't enjoy the cast 😛. Plus, I don't mind SRK being in a film with rani and preity, if SRK is there, I'm happy 😳 plus I also like both rani and preity😆.

6.) What type of awards do you think this film can win....and as far as i know i dont think anyone can win best actor or actress, because this is a milti-starer and SRK adn Abhi have the same lenght roles as Priety/Rani

I think the film would win for Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematographer 😆 (i mean Karan has truly captured the beauty of NY, when i saw the promos it was really beautiful 😳), maybe even Best Actor which i would say SRK 😛 as he's the star of the film 😳😉.

7.) What do you think about SRK acting a cripple in the movie...and Rani having a disability of not conceiving?

It shows a new aspect which you don't really see in many movies, its sad that its that way but the viewers can really feel what the characters are going through 😳.

SHAHRUKH KHAN 😳 😳 😳I can't wait to see the film, and the music is awesome! 😃

um..am sure karan has done fab job wiv dis movie as its different frm his usual family drama and abt the extra matrial affair subject this happens in socitey even my bro n sis in law has been goin through dis and i believe its gud way to show sumthing new and real rather den making movie like murder😆😆

i don't think so first of all his orginal cast r always gr88 but may be he wants 2 add a bit flavour

am very happy to see all super stars in one movie and i dun think derz r any talented actors like preity rani srk abhi so may be he didn't want others 2 cast in his movie and its his choice whether he cast same actors or different and he knws completely wot he is doin.

well as far as i saw promo i can only say every1 has done fab job👏but rit now i can't say anything more dan dat without watching movie and yh songs r gr88 too

Being a actor dey hav 2 try out different role to prove themself as the bestest and bestest actor rather then playing same role all the time

I think KJ does that to keep us all jumping out of our seats....his original star cast is always great but guest apperances are there just to give the viewer a plesant surprise.

I think this film will sweep the award ceremonies but as for actors and actress awards i think it all depends on how the critics look at it....im sure both rani/preity and srk/abhi will do gr8 👏

it shows the imperfections of life and it also gives a challenge to them as actors for a different type of role 😊

It happens, in today's age, it's a very common thing that happens when marriages are dull or are driven by something else. I think it's good to show something new and real for a change - something we can relate to , rather than candyfloss films.

no, i don't think so. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai had what guest appearances? Salman can't be counted as he was there for the entire team - half of the movie nah.. I think he adds guest apperances because they add a light to the film..

well, I am glad he takes SRK and Rani, because they rule.. and I don't think he has taken the same people over and over again.. in Kaal, we had Ajay, John, in K3g, we had Hrithik, Kareena, in KHNH, we had Preity and Saif, and in KKHH- we had Johny Lever, and others.. I think he takes people comprising of how much they suit the role..

Best actor depends on how the performances are depending on.. as far as I know it's SRK and Rani's story, but u know , if Abhi's performances is better than SRK,.then even he can take the award home nah.. i think it can win, all the cats for the awards..

ooh, i think it's very convicing.. i mean come on, aren't there couples have disability and aren't some men cripple? It's reality, the more better we follow it, the better we will be at.

I can't wait to see the movie, i am sure the performances will be rocking as well as the Music. The music roxxx - Where's the party Tonite and Mitwa are amazinggg.. The title song is soo sad yet so touching. Tumhi Dekho Naa is a sweetheart of a song..amazing tune and words and then Rock n Roll Sonye is amazing as well as the other songs.. can't wait until aug 11😊

1.) What do you think about the star cast...do you like it or not..and why?

I, personally love the star cast. It has most of my favourite actresses/actors in it - Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Big B aka Amit kee, Preity Zinta, Kron Kher, and Rani Mukherjee. They're all very experienced and they all act extremely well. Shahrukh Khan and Amit jee have years od acting experience so that really helps the other new comers as well.

2.) How do you think the movie is going to score at the box office?

Definetely, my prediction is that Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna will get alot of awards. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is just like Kabhi Khushi Khabi Gham { its all about relationships - isnt that the motto/ =)) } So I think its going to be a big hit. Well, people are already really excited to watch it. Why shouldnt they be? Afterall... they have the biggest stars of the film industry.

3.) What is your take on the subject of extra marital affairs that Karan Johar had attempted?

I think that was a great idea because the story of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna is like real life stories. Larai... jagrai...

4.) Why do you think Karan Johar always adds guest surprises in his movies....is he afraid to take risk with the original star cast?

Well, I think he adds some other people in his movies so the movies can rise. Like, I heard that Kajol was going to make a guest appearance in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and so was Arjun Rampal. And there are alot of Kajol and Arjun fans. Guest Appearances make movies more interesting.

5.) How do you feel about Karan always casting the same actors in all his movie...what other actors/actresses should he approach?

Well, I think he has same actors in his movies because he has worked alot with them and he's really familiar. I dont think he should have any more actors. Im really happy with the star cast. Maybe he should have legendary couples more often in his films.

Well, Im not sure about that... lets just wait and watch :D

I think that that was a great idea. There are people who cant walk and I think that because there's that little twist to the story, it makes the story more interesting :D

Im really looking forwrad to the movie and I realy wanna watch it mainly because of the star cast - Shahrukh Khan and all the others :$ The story is really interesting, but I still think that Karan should've made it a little different. Like common man, its always about relationships =)) Im looking forward to the movie and I wish it all the best (Y)
