How do you rate him?? I know he is very selective in the songs he does these days...but I think he is not one of the...but by far the best choreographer in India. Not just his dance...his ability to capture beats...and meaning of the song in the dance steps ...not many people do that. While doing that always has a sense of comic touch in his dance...Always makes sure the complete space is used...and has some brilliant Cut off's ..

1. Main Aisa Kyun Hoon -- Lakshya

This is just genius...The whole concept of the song ...the set...everything aiding the lyrics in conveying what the song was supposed to...and that famous step...he got national award for this song!!

2. Kehna Hai Kya -- Bombay

Again...very simple steps as they are supposed to be for the song...Manisha has some of the simple..yet very gracious steps which she pulls of very well...nothing ground breaking dance considered...but Simple songs in simple settings deserve simple steps...and even in the still shots of Manisha/Arvind Swami ...you observe the back ground dancers...

3. Andamaina Prema rani -- Premikudu(Telugu)

Nothing to say...just watch how every beat is captured in the step...even while they are not dancing...but just hand gestures..walking...or turning their cap...

4. Chandrullo unde Kundelu -- NVNV(Telugu)

Watch he used even facial expressions of Trisha...and Even people working and doing their daily routines while Trisha and Veda go through the journey...

I will let others add their favorites...but I have lot of other songs which are as good as these...,hopefully they will get added through the discussion...

He is a top notch Choreographer... Loved him in Mukkala Mukkabula song and ever since then I am his dancing fan and loved his acting in Santosham( the one with Nagarjuna and Shriya Saran) ever since then fida over his acting too😃

Also loved him in Pukar song with Mads..

True, that was a class appearance in Santhosham.

Yeah they are a lot in Tamil/Telugu

Chikubuku from Gentleman...all songs of KAdhalan ( Mukkabula...Urvasi )

Even Niluvadanu ninnu eppudaina in NVNV

Varsham songs...

Some Chiranjeevi songs of the old..Muta Mesthri...Bangaru Kodi Pitta from Gharana Mogudu

Even Munbe Va in Silluno Oru KAdhal...that does not have any dance at all..but small moments,...especially the last 45 seconds where the camera moves from place to place in continuity to show Bhoomika and Surya chatting...

I think of the best is Minsara Kanuvu...I am pretty sure it is dubbed in hindi too..one with him/Kajol and Aravind swami...he won national award for choreography for that film too...Chanda re..even Kajol into songs,...

Yes loved that song chanda re chanda re from that movie...

Wow had no idea that he had worked on so many wonderful songs...

Also he is very few people from the film industry who doesn't seem to age...maybe all the dancing is the trick😉

I refrained from adding real obvious choices from the early 90's.. in the first OP...but Some of the songs which catapulted him to stardom...

Invisible man in Mukkabula is one of my biggest childhood memories...wondering how he even did it..

Some of Genius in Prabhu Deva Choreography lies on he does non dancing things with beat of the song...Watch this..even when he kicks Vadivelu in the starting...he does not dance for the sake of dancing...

Ke Sera Sera in Pukar was great. Yes, he was more rubbery than Madhuri but that song gave Madhuri an opportunity to show her versatility.

Thiruda Thiruda, Gentleman and Kadhalan had really great steps and he brought freshness to the dance scene.

And of course, Bombay's Humma Humma was another chartbuster (where is his brother Nagendra now?)
