SRK said in an interview after the Chalte Chalte mess that he was too cowardly to tell Ash she was being replaced and that it was his fault and he should have handled it better. They told Ash the Chalte Chalte shoot was halted. She found out that they had started it again with Rani instead.

Her love life was causing a lot of problems on the set of CC. Salman was coming and causing problems, destroying the set, accusing Ash of having affairs with everyone (including SRK). The were losing money daily because of Salman's shenanigans and SRK's production company was already in debt and having monetary problems.

I remember seeing an old article where SRK said he was really upset being dragged into the middle of the Salman and Ash's problems and that he will never get involved in anyone else's life ever again. He was pretty furious. At some point, Salman was harassing Ash and she told SRK to tell Salman she wasn't on the CC set. He did that and he later found out, Ash herself had told him she was there so Salman came on the set again accusing SRK of being a liar. After Salman destroyed the set, SRK asked Ash not to go back with Salman but she left with him, after first telling SRK to lie that she wasn't even on the set. I'm guessing Ash went with him because he was drunk and causing a scene.

Anyway, SRK was furious and I think he washed his hands of both Ash and Salman.

Didn't know that bit. Why would she do that? It's so stupid!

I remember reading a quote where he said that during Devdas they become closer b/c that movie required them to search their inner selfs for that pain and all of those emotions of love, innocence, loss, etc. He said that was the most emotional experience for him. And even SLB said that he casted Aishu b/c she had this pain in her eyes (he was hinting at her personal life, but ddn't blantantly say it) during that phase in her time and that's why she was his choice as Paro. Also, there were suppose to be more intimate scenes in the film like the there were in the song sequence More Piya, but they were cut and also some felt it wouldn't make Dev-Paro's love appear "pure". Even the More Piya stuff was gonna be re-shot to make it appear that they weren't that "chalu"--oh god! I can't believe I said that.😆

I'm sure both formed a friendship that was separate from him being her BF's friend and she being his bestie's GF. I guess it hurt SRK b/c he had gotten close to both of them and when it come time to choose sides, it hurt him deeply. I know that when Salman wanted to marry her, her parents were so against and he personally went over to talk to them about how happy she would be with Salman, etc. So there was deep involvement in his part.

I didn't know about her lying and shit, but I don't what was going inside her head--I guess she was still immature and figuring things out. But I think SRK chose Aishu first and sided with her and causing a minor rift b/w him and Salman, and then he decided to side with him instead...didn't tell her she was being replaced but I guess she found out from a 3rd source, making her believe he wasn't her true friend, etc...and everyone knows the story or knows a variety of different versions of this story. But either way, she was pissed as hell that he and Rani didn't choose her over Salman. PZ was smart about it...she didn't take sides. She remained neutral and that's why she's still friends with both of them.

And yup, if you watch this 2005 award show, where Aishu is giving him an award--both are pleasant and cordial...it's not the same. She even said that he acted so awkward even though she had moved on from it. And you're right, he felt guilty as hell too. Thank god for Abhi and Gauri who eventually fixed everything--best spouses eva!

@Choco: Yup she did! it was a Shobha De interview though--so you know how it is...I'm sure there were a lot "off-the-record" comments. But it was this interview where I found out that everyone in the industry wanted to work with her but she wanted to go to architect school or whatever. Yash Chopra gave a huge push to move forward/motivation to become an actress. And Sanjay wanted her in Khamoshi too. Raju especially wanted them post Devdas b/c they were both taking off as the next hottest BW pair, but SRK felt he wasn't right for the role so instead of working opposite Sanjay, she felt since he did. She even said that it was the first time after losing all those projects, she stopped picking films for the actors in them or giving dates according to the actor's schedule. She become stronger and started becoming more independent too.

I don't knw how true it is, but their off-screen rapport was effin' insanely hot. Anyone seen the behind the scenes Isha Kamina footage--all this hand holding, hugging, and eye sessons, etc. Like he's always making her laugh and she's always staring at him. Even at Cannes, when he was smoking and she hates smoking--he literally moves away from her to smoke and then comes right back all super closer for pictures. LOL! or maybe I'm over-analyzing ever since poppy told me about Aishu's mini-crush on him. 😆

I don't know what you think I meant by "slip"--but I'm def not insuinuating a sexual affair--I think it was more of an emotional one. But yeah, it took Gauri awhile to actually move past that. Like I said, I'm sure marrying Abhi help fix a lot of things.

All this SRK-Aishu talk has made re-fall in love with them. 😆

Reading all this stuff about Aish-SRk has got me a little excited. I would love to see the two of them back together again.

I just have a hard time believing anything regarding HNY.. so many rumours floating around it's ridiculous.

And that filmfare video...i know right ...the way she was looking at him...she looks smitten. can't blame her😆

the whole CC incident is sad...i could imagine Aish as Priya. how much of CC was shot with Aish though?...are there any clips of them??

Cocoo, I don't think SRK picked Salman over Aish by replacing her...it was more of "trying to get this project to take off properly and saving myself." He was caught in a tough situation, but like anonymous said, he washed his hands off both of them after that mess..though he should have handled the situation with Aish better and that's probably why he was so uncomfortable with her for so long--he felt guilty about the way he handled it. SRK was really mad at Salman too (and definitely not guilty here)...mostly for acting like a douchebag and hitting a woman, but probably also because good friend Salman was causing problems in a project that was very important for SRK.. he was anyways having monetary problems & Salman didn't make anything better.

Yeah Aish-Abhi getting married helped a lot...though it still took years after that for things to be more normal..SRK-Gauri are close to Abhishek & he played peacemaker I believe.

Honestly, my mind runs wild with ideas when these 2 are concerned...I'm sure it wasn't half as filmy as it plays out in my head. He was def stuck in a sticky situation and totally felt guilty about the Aishu thing since he upright said it. That's why I don't believe the rumors that the fallout b/w SK and him happened for some rude Ash-tray comment SRK made. I mean there's no way he would cross that line.

I'm sure he and Salman had other issues too, but I really think SK was kind of pissed about him covering for Ash or taking her side. Just a theory I have. 😆

The Abhi helped a lot since Abhi adores Gauri and also b/c let's not forget he is a Bachchan. Despite all the feuds and misunderstanings Big B and SRK might have--SRK went to personally go see Big B post his surgery and Big B personally went to go check up on SRK when he broke his neck. There's def a lot of love b/w the families.
