If Tom Cruise was the hero in DDLJ...

Supposedly Aditya originally wanted Tom Cruise for the hero in DDLJ. Yash Chopra convinced him otherwise and they decided on SRK.

I doubt it would have ever happened but I wonder what that would have been like if somehow the Chopras had made that possible. Imagine Tom Cruise in a typical Bollywood song and dance sequence. 😆

And who would have been the heroine? They chose Kajol only after SRK was on board because their jodi was already quite popular. So without SRK they wouldn't have even been thinking in that direction. So who? Madhuri? 🤔

Nah they decided on the hero first. Kajol was only considered coz her jodi with SRK was already very popular. In any case, once they had someone like Cruise on board (in this hypothetical alternate reality), I think they would have been thinking in some other direction for the heroine. Perhaps get someone who was already an established star to balance Cruise as the hero. 🤓

Movie wouldn't have worked back home because majority of the audience in India speaks Hindi. Also considering the length of the movie at some point people would've gotten tired of reading the subtitles.
