Crazy antics and Indian television shows go hand in hand and that is given, regardless of which show you take and on whatever channel. And you can witness some of the most ridiculous bullshit in her highness Ekta Kapoor's shows. And having watched a few of her shows, I can definitely give a fine list of utter craziness I've seen:
- There is no end to the poor female leads "majboori" and she'll go onto sacrifice for every person who exists within a 10 km radius. Such females don't have a normally functioning brain and think that the world will come to an end if they don't keep making sacrifices for every aira gaira nathu khaira.
- And then there is the never ending torture of the poor Gods. In every show you will see some idiot or the other standing in front of God mouthing crap like "Yeh kaisi pareeksha hai bhagwan" "Aap aisa kaise kar sakte hai" "Mera aapse vishwaas uth jaayega" ...blah blah blah...Even if all the misery in their lives is an outcome of their own choices and decisions, these stupid people mouth extensive monologues questioning the Gods, instead of taking responsibility for their own sh*t.
- And no show is complete without one of the leads being in hospital and far away in la la land, their lover is preventing the light of a diya from blowing off. Again, extinguished diyas, falling sindoors and breaking mangalsutras are a BIG abshagun..and after every such scene the camera relentlessly goes round and round the room focusing on the same expression i.e. 😲 on everyones face.
