Akshay Kumar Completes Staggering 2000 crore at BO

Akshay Kumar has become the first actor in Bollywood to complete a staggering 2000 crore in his entire career. Yes you have read it right. It is not Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan or even Amitabh Bachchan, but it is the king kumar who has set this unprecedented record.

Akshay Kumar has acted in around 100+ films in his career starting from Saugandh in 1991 and till Special 26 which is running in theaters right now. As per trade analyst this coveted record is established by Akshay Kumar on Saturday when Special 26 has crossed 2+ crore nett mark at the box office on this day. This is great news for the actor as he was written off in 2009-2011 after a series of flops.

Akshay is synonymous to Hit and Flops with his inconsistent run at the box office. But he bounced back well in 2012 with delivering the 3rd Biggest grosser of the year in Rowdy Rathore which went to become Blockbuster, breaking many Box Office, Satelite and other records. He also had good run with Oh My God and Housefull 2 in 2012. His current film Special 26 has earned critical acclaim and slowly the box office numbers are also growing with each passing day.

2013 looks extremely promising for the actor with BOSS, OUATIMA being his next releases. Thuppaki and Ramana Remakes and Gutka from Karan Johar production house are one of the most awaited films of Kumar and all his fans eagerly waiting for those with bated breath.
