Asians marry in red? Or redd-ish color? Like orange/pink/velvet/yellow etc? I know some marry in green or white too

Dont wanna ask my mom she's gonna slap me, if I ask her this in her opinion I'm totally ''white washed'' 😕

But is there any significance behind red? I know Turks wear the usual white bridal dresses, but the virgins tie a red bow around their vaist which stands for virginity/purity or something like that 😕

Does the color red symbolize purity too?
I just find it funny how it's basically just us who ,marry in red/ reddish colors while others marry wearing a traditional white bridal dresses 😲

But I don't like the flower thing which men put around their face, and also the pink turbans I don't like.

U don't like the flowers and the turbans? I think they are pretty cool u know my sis got married and her dude is Punjabi and he wore a turban too!! It was so nice!

Red is the color of love and union.
In ancient India after consummating the marriage the kings used to tie a red cloth to a stick and then waved the stick. The red cloth symbolized that the woman he slept with is a virgin.Red was used to symbolize the end of virginity as virgin women bled after loosing their virginity.I know it sounds gross.
