Will Salmania continue in 2013 also?

2010, 2011, 2012 were all about Salman Khan mania, aka Salmania. He dominated movies and public sphere like no other star did. Each film going bigger than the other at box office.

But will Salmania continue in 2013 and beyond? Other stars also have big films lined up. Will Salman Khan be able to topple everyone else, turn predictions on their head the way he continued to do from 2010? Or is his dominance threatened this year and in coming ones?

Can he still overshadow other stars and their films? Or is he going to have only the year's second/third biggest hit or hit a plateau but not give yearly or all time top hits this year?

2013

It has only 2 films in my view which will challenge & might come above some of Salman's Last 5 BlockBusters - Dhoom:3 & Krissh3.

This year, on EID, he will be clashing with Akki's OUATIM2, now Opening records won't be made as he always make on SOLO BIG Release (with few small films do release side by side, no big 1), this time it will Akki's BIG Film, Now both film will have Muslim attraction flavor, which after EID both will get benefit, but due to competition, He won't make new Records, but i am sure He won't disappoint in any way...

Entertainment hoga Karaara, jawaab milega Haters n critics ko Karaara...

& if all goes well & KICK comes this year... It will shatter records n will make new ones... i want KICK to come after Krissh3 & Dhoom:3, as those 2 will be BIG, i want KICK 2 chase those 2 in big way.

Yes it will and this man is running a one man race at present with BO. More like Bolt did at Olympics

I would love to see his flicks getting clashed with big ones like Dhoom or Krish. He will give Aamir and Hrithik run for their money but I highly doubt he'd go for it since he's fond of both actors

Yes I think there will be craze for him for another couple of years atleast till the younger actors catch up. By then most probably the masala genre will run out of steam due to an overdose of every 'star' doing it. So only ones who will survive will be the younger stars who are good in this genre like it was in the early 90s. Salman can ofcourse survive longer if he manages to do universally themed movies like 3I. I remember someone mentioning that Stalin remake is a step in that direction. Maybe Salman and Reshma Shetty realize there will be too much of a masala overdose so they are already planning ahead.

Salman was always against the clashing of movies as he always stated that if big movies come together they ate up each other's business, which he was right when his 3 films after wanted released back 2 back, london dream, mamk, veer...

He always said films should have minimum 4-5 months gap... even if u see sos vs jthj, both suffered badly, both have manage 2 get HIT but not with huge numbers, i am sure if both would have come separately & not in competition, both would have got more success.

Post Dabangg, he took decision making power on his films on his hands, even media criticized him for being rude to production house dictating them, He said if film fails blame me, if succeed give credit to whole team.

Result is in front of everyone, 5 Blockbusters back 2 back, now he is more serious than he was ever in his career, he won't repeat his mistakes what he did earlier.

Is he even having a confirmed release this year?

Earlier he's kicked ass of biggies from biggest banners with his films. I am more interested in seeing how he matches up when other stars are also going commercial/entertainment way with biggest directors and banners. Hrithik has Krissh, Aamir has Dhoom 3 this year and PK next year. SRK's working with Rohit Shetty (though honestly his offerings seem weakest of the lot, at least as of now).

If he can dominate on his own strength even now this year and coming years then it will be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G feat for him as a superstar.
