He can NOT act to save his life. He himself says he doesn't know what acting is. He is just being himself onscreen and that's what his fans like. He is known as a bad guy offscreen for the stuff he has done and onscreen he is doing bad stuff so his fans love that.

If it wasn't because of salim khan then salman would have struggled too. His father through his connections gave him the lover roles he played in the beginning of his career. But that only lasted for sometime people then got sick of this non-actor and he gave flop after flop then he worked with aamir, srk, saif etc. in supporting roles and those movies worked only because of the main leads and not salman. Now salman is copying south remakes but that period is over now, people are sick of his same kind of movies and the biggest example is dabangg 2 collections being so terrible. The movie didn't even break ek tha tiger.

It's not just acting, salman also can't dance to save his life. Also he never had the height or looks it's just that six pack which he had in the beginning which girls loved, now that six pack is gone too.
