The problem is, as many people are failing to identify, is NOT the message it intended. Its the weakness of the premise and the utter lack of subtlety in putting up the message.

It was one of the best movies of bollywood in recent times. For once the screenplay was the hero and the dialogues though at times were insensitive towards religion it was the bitter truth! The scenes and situations mentioned are very real something that actually happens!

To get the real meaning behind the movie one should be open minded a very orthodox or conservative person would find it offensive!

I really loved Akki is this film, his presentation of modern day Krishna was beautiful!

My fav line from this movie is when Paresh Rawal's character tells his wife how will her fasting wash away his sins..it's like her phone is kept for charging but his battery get's full!!! (something on those lines) another fav line is when Krishna drops off Paresh on the way to his house, he has my job is to show you the path not drop you off at the destination!

👏
i loved all dialogues, so true👍🏼

I won't comment on the logic...coz believing in God is a matter of faith and not of logic! A lot of people do a lot of things(which might not appeal to the scientific mind), then why question the action of an atheist(as regards suing God)!!

yes it was a movie with a message! But it wasn't a moral science textbook! No where did it tell us what was right or wrong! It left us questioning ourselves and a lot of stuff we do. It was an argument oriented film! So i wouldn't call it preachy!

as for loud...if you're talking about the acting, I think paresh rawal is one of the finest actors ever! if it's the dialogues, they needed strong dialogues because of the story(like someone else said it was a courtroom drama not a love making scene where one could whisper sweet nothings)!

edited to add- we can not question God coming down to earth in human form either. In the real world, who is to know what He does or does not do! It's a question of belief and one can believe that God can and will come down to earth in human form if need be!! It's personal and we should not question it! So i wouldn't call that as illogical either! They've shown what a lot of us might believe in!

The movie fell flat for me as soon as paresh landed up in the hospital! I find it preachy from there only! and making paresh god was very exaggerated, does not happen, aam junta is not that dumb

But why did he sue God and not the Insurance company? 😕
It was a 'moral science' lesson, specifically aimed at spoon-feeding every detail.

I could connect with the movie really well.
All the characters were believable and so was the "preaching".

He did go to the insurance company...they said it was an act of God(and thus not covered under the contract)..look at his plight-everything..just about everything that he'd worked for all his life had fallen apart! he had no alternative left! he didn't believe in God! It was an act done in rage!! His logic was when god men and priests can act as agents of God to fill their own coffers, they should be equally responsible for any liability arising from His action!!

NKappor - CHILL!!

The concept nd whole idea behind story was really unique nd the way it was presented - AWESOME!

Once in while there comes a Comedy film that is clean nd conveys the message in very great way!

Nd 'UNREALISTIC' ?? This is nthing but FICTION! When there can be films on aliens, nd ghosts then y nt gods! We live in country like India where god for us people are everything! Finding a person who doesn't have faith in same nd then change in his views was the basis of story. I didn't find film UNREALISTIC
