you're right...the dialogues made me cringe!! it wasn't even comic relief(if that's what they were there for)!! and how many dialogues did she have in the movie!

it reminded me of those stupid school plays jismein you give atleast one dialogue to all the kids to appease them even if those lines are forced into the script!

I honestly felt there was no point in replacing Sameera. Since Ameesha didn't have many dialogues and her character was half baked, they should have kept Mini's character as it wouldn't have needed any introduction nor additional dialogues. What was the need of introducing a new character if you're not going to make it different than the previous one?

All in all, Race 2 had a huge potential which was wasted by Shiraz Ahmed's lazy writing. It could've been a decent sequel but it fell short thanks to a contrived script.

becoz its the producer's call. abbas mustan weren't keen on doing a sequel of Race 2 either. it is forced. the directors said a franchise was never planned. it only happened after the success of the original and then they wanted to add zeal with whatever new they had. Anyways today a hit movie is important. even if Ameesha has nothing to do. atleast she would be feeling a relief to feature in a successful movie after a long time.

The movie was terrible, and she was by far the worst thing about the movie, says it all for me :)

I don't like that the reviews keep praising Deepika Padukone. I'm sorry to say but she isn't the amazing actor that everyone calls her. I often find that her expressions are the same or that she has the same sort of character in each movie. I felt that Jacqueline and Ameesha deserved at least some reviews and not the one liners they did get.

I totally agree...
Deepika is forsure a wooden actress...
The only movie where I saw her acting & performing was "Cocktail" , rest she is same wooden same plastic in almost all of her released flicks.

I felt to some extent even Cocktail was too similar. Almost all her movies have her cry and no matter what the reason behind her crying is, it looks the same. Think about it, if it's heartbreak then the way a person cries is different if the reason is someone's death. And yet, in her case, it's all the same. I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't comment on Jacqueline or Ameesha, but I'm pretty sure that Deepika will look the same or similar in the movie. I'm not saying she's a bad actress. She has talent. She just hasn't used it properly yet.
