Race 2 has collected around 17 crore nett all India on Sunday at the box office as per early estimates. With this Race 2 Opening Weekend Collection is around 52.5 crore nett. Thus,Race 2 recorded the 5th Biggest Opening Ever as far as First Weekend is concerned. This is fantastic.

Race 2 started again well on Sunday in Morning Shows. It then sustained well throughout the day. Overall occupancy for the day was around 60% on average. Occupancy is excellent considering many factors like, film is into 3rd day after a National Holiday and moreover there was a India-England Cricket match.

With great opening weekend Race 2 is definitely heading for a big hit status. Only factor is now that how much a big hit it will become and whether it can touch 100 crore nett mark or not. For that real test for Race 2 will start from Monday onwards. Plus, Race 2 will get an open second week, which will help it to collect more in the coming weekend.

Collection Breakup -

Friday - 15.1 cr nett.
Saturday - 20.05 cr nett.
Sunday - 17 cr nett (Early Estimates)

Total - 52.15 cr nett.

WOW it will make 100 cr plus for sure now.i dont mind Race making to the 100 cr as all of the shitty massy are doing that. CHERRY FIRST 100 CR

But making 100 crore doesnt mean its a hit or some movies who dont make 100 crore are hits, isnt it based on other things too? Plus they have 90 crore budget and 3200 screens..im now sure dhoom 3 will have a big budget too..

My short opinion then will give detail review in short the savior is Nawab without him this movie would not work ..

the budget is 55 crore. not 90!

90cr its a hit for this movie anything above 110 is a superhit most likely it will b a hit!!!! bt im eagerly waiting for monday collections!!!

budget is around 55-60cr

I didn't like this movie...AT ALL. It had nothing going right for it, except Saif Ali Khan. He's the only redeeming factor in the whole movie.

I actually really liked Race, but this one was NOWHERE close to the first one - not in terms of the cast, story, acting, or even the music. Yupp, the music was such a letdown as well. For example - 'be intehaan' is NOTHING close to what 'pehli nazar' was. I don't mind listening to the songs from Race even today, but Race 2...no song is worth remembering.

This movie had no "OMG" moment and no actual "thrills"...unlike Race. I'm saying this even though I didn't read any spoilers before going to watch this. The movie wasn't exciting AT ALL.

Also, the pace of the movie was really bad. What good is a movie if atleast half the scenes in it are pointless? The whole wrestling match between John and that other giant was such a waste of time...say, a good 15 minutes. It was so NOT needed. Also, the scene with Anil and Ameesha getting all intimate in whatever country it was...uhm yeah, what was the point of that? ----> unnecesary scenes like these messed up the pace of the movie. After a point the movie started to feel like a drag and I felt like it just wasn't ending. 🥱

The cast was such a fail as well - I mean, Jacqueline? REALLY? She was so bad in the movie omg. She's even a worse actress than Katrina but atleast Katrina had SOME kind of screen presence in Race. John tried too hard with his "badass acting" or whatever he was trying to do. Deepika...I just laughed every time she came on screen. For some reason I was unable to take her seriously in this "grey" shaded character. Anil and Ameesha were a waste of screen space...with some really sleazy scenes/lines. Saif acted well and even looked good in some scenes...except his first scene where he comes out of the water. EWW...his hair looked gross!

I liked that one line that DP said - "yeh lo, aagaye fruit aur nut"...referring to Anil and Ameesha. 😆 LOLL and DP looked possessed in the first verse of the title song...with the way she was whipping her hair back and forth or whatever that is she was doing.

That slow motion walking/running Saif and John were doing in the same song was RIDIC. Was it supposed to be serious?...cuz I couldn't help but laugh AGAIN.

Major W*F scene = flying car. HAHAHAHAHAHA! 🤣 That scene was at par with the ETT scene where Salman was hanging off the plane. It's hard to choose which scene is worse.

One more thing - how come in BW scenes the Indian characters are shown to be talking in Hindi to a crowd fill of white people? That NEVER makes any sense whatsoever.

I'd give this movie a 1/5. Not worth watching in the theater, or at all...unless of course you're a fan of any of the actors/actresses from the movie. One of the main reasons why this movie failed IMO is b/c Abbas-Mustan tried to hard (same reason why I think Players also failed)...they got too carried away with everything except the script/screenplay/logic/etc.

Just got back. All I gotta say is don't watch it if you think its gonna be some kind of classic thriller or something😆

It was a classy film in terms of clothes, nothing else.

Storywise the movie was such a fail. Way too many twists and turns. Halfway through the movie, one could guess who's gonna win and take all the money in the end. On thriller films people expect some unexpected scenes, scenes that leave you shocked. This movie had none of that. Nothing exciting to be precise. Add to that the ridiculous things they added like Deepika's glasses, flying car. And they kept ruining the pace with those stupid RD-Cherry scene. The so-called intimate scene between them was so unnecessary and stupid.

Coming to the characters, Saif was the only saving grace for the film. If it weren't for his fabulous acting, I would've left the theater halfway through. I was laughing whenever John came on. Dude couldn't do justice to this negative role. Deepika was the babe of the film. Damn she looked so hot but she wasn't given much importance plus this serious acting doesn't suit her. I can see why she didn't wanna do this film. And Jacqueline🤣 She can't act, period. Terrible just terrible. And Anil-Ameesha were waste of space. Whatever they tried to do with them like humorous effect was a fail.

Overall I would give it a 2/5. And that extra one is for Saif only.

Was there even a proper script in place
Too many questions no answers

On the Omar Scale is gets 3/10 for jacky and dpads hotness
