Are Khan wars just a facade?

We've seen videos of Khans interacting at parties, or performing together at award shows. Interviews of Khans recalling each other as friends, or meeting up often (Gauri's old interview mentions Aamir as their family friend, SRK's old interviews also mentioned friendly relations with Aamir, an old Salman interview mentioned how 3 Khans used to meet at each other's houses). Even now, they affirm respect for each other despite any issue they have. (Eg., Aamir-SRK took several digs at each other in 2008 but met up and smiled for shutterbugs at 3I premiere and Imran's reception! Salman stays away from SRK but media projects like both are forever plotting to beat each other up!)

Are stories of Khan wars just exaggerated? Is it just an attention/publicity seeking gimmick to keep stars in news all year? To keep their monopoly even in media not just industry? A way to incite fans' passion towards stars even more?

I think it's just a way to get more attention! Aamir got load of attention after that dog blog. Salman-SRK never made so much news until after that incident at Katrina's party in 2008. SRK's interviews never get highlighted as much as when he takes a dig at any other Khan.

Khan "wars" are literally bread and butter of Indian media and any Indian movie forum/online space.

Is it all just a facade? Publicity machinery? A source of constant engagement and fuelling obsession?

(Few years back there was hoopla over Amitabh and Shatrughan Sinha enmity. Same stars were seen laughing together at Gr8 ITA Awards and later at Sinha's party at his own house! Star wars, just a tamasha, then?)

Yes, i think KHANS are just playing it out with media n fans... fans proving their fav. khan 2 be bettr than other helped all 3 khans films reach high scores...

I think its all media created !

I think fans are also part of it. Aamir & Salman are friends. Yet many of their fans also slug it out with each other, accusing their friendship of being fake or accusing them of "using" each other and making their own conspiracy theories about either star exploiting/fooling the other!

What's excuse for fighting if stars are friends?! Ainwayi hi?

I have seen some fans from both sides taking digs at ech other. It happened on Twitter. It happens less often but still does happen. Then fans from both sides remind them that Aamir-Salman are friends!
