He's won almost every single telly award he's been nominated for, and the fact that he has such a huge following on IF is for a reason.

Production House is not a sole distinction on how successful an actor or film will be.

I have a lot of faith in Barun's acting and talent. He has evolved tremendously as an actor in the past four years and I'm sure he will surprise us on the big screen as well.

To call him "Flopti" without seeing his evolution and work as an actor and to bring him down simply looking at the PH of his movie is unfair. Give him sometime, at least let the promotions for his film begin. Even Shah Rukh had flops in the beginning of his career. He's just starting, only his talent and humility can tell whether or not success is written in his future.

Furthermore, despite what people say, Barun is NOT only popular in IF. His show and his popularity, with all due respect to Sushant, were so popular, that for the first time in the history of indian television a show was SHUT DOWN due to the exit of an actor. The channel had to broadcast a banner that said the show was shut down only due to Barun's exit and the PH, actors and channel representatives had to make public announcements on his exit. He has had several articles in the Times of India, Hindustan Times, etc. This can't happen due to a fandom contained by a website like this one.

His facebook fan page has over 370,000 likes. To compare with other Bollywood actors:

Vivek Oberoi: 25,000

Varun Dhawan: 260,000

Siddharth Malhotra: 90,000

Ranveer Singh: 80,000

and finally

Sushant Singh Rajput: 125,000

The likes of his show Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, which began June 6th, 2011 are around 600,000, compared to Sushant Singh Rajput's, Pavitra Rishta, which premiered June 1st 2009, which has around 650,000.

The scene from his serial on Youtube is one of the ONLY TWO SCENES from an Indian soap opera to cross a million views on the website, the other being a highly controversial lip lock from bade ache lagte hai.

To say he is only famous in IF, is seriously unfair. He's made his mark everywhere.
