i am not saying he isnt versatile but the problem with him is he still has the romantic hero image he always had 😆 and with BG,ready,dabangg salman in a way has reinvented himself ! He is now called the hero of the masses,the man with the midas touch,the man who just promises entertainment and mindless movies which he was not called b4 dabangg ! The movies might be crap but it has changed his image 😆

I think by reinvention he means an overhaul in image and pulling off different kind of movies. Dabangg or Ready aren't great cinema but they are different from what Salman had been doing in past or even other heroes had been doing. It's about being able to find a new niche for yourself which Salman was able to do.

With all due respect to other Khans, I believe they cannot manage to make movies like Dabangg successful at all. They just don't have the gravitas to pull off such a film.

Has SRK managed a complete overhaul of image and then sustained success with it? CDI is the last such universally accepted attempt.

masalas of ajay and akshay also became BBs but they couldnt even reach ready or has only beaten it 😛

But in reality if you look at work rate of Aamir he all ready is semi retired as leading man. His films are working cause they are far and few in between .

Yeah Aamir's mostly like a semi-retired leading man. Takes too many gap years. Appears in ensemble cast films or arthouse cinema. Except for Fanaa, Ghajini he rarely looks keen on doing films where he's main focus as solo lead or "hero".

He thrives on being under-exposed as a star and being a rare sight for audience. He worked regularly only till 2001. And then from 2005-2009.
