I think Madhuri Dixit is also overrated to some extent. I feel she is forced into this legendary figure due to her good/excellent dance and great face expression, and her adaye etc. Her acting is not that great

never liked kajol or madhuri when it came to watching them act...kajol was too screechy n annoying for me and madhuri's expressions always felt too theatrical to me...NOT in her dances, but in her regular scenes n stuff,...only liked her in HAHK...she never really impressed me much in anything else...

in the 90s...i used to prefer watching sonali bendre and Juhi coz i felt they were more natural as actors..

of the current lot, never got the big deal abt PC...always felt her performances were wayy to artificial for me to connect with any of them...barring Kaminey in which i did see some spark...but apart from that...naah..just dont see it.

.i never got this thing...that why people keep screaming everywhere that Vidya was overhyped in kahaani...the world knows that the FILM GOT A POOR OPENING...and it managed to improve only because of word of mouth...the same happened with vidya's other movies as well. OVERHYPED is kareena who is promoted like hell for movies like HEROINE and all...please check the reviews online. she is a joke when it comes to hype..becoz the hype she carries she doesn't perform like that.

clearly kareena is the most overrated actress...barring only chameli or jab we met. her entire filmy career is just about passable.

i think wht yankees meant was that the "overhype" was abt vidya's performance in the movie, not the movie's performance at the box office...

Goodness..that hype has been created around every actress..be it PC for barfi...many think she doesn't even qualify for the leading lady...even Richa Chaddha from GOW have got tremendous response..

besides Vidya hasn't topped any list for becoming top actress of 2012 yet ..its either PC or sridevi...so in what sense Vidya was overhyped ..oh min 😕

strange...sridevi is the one actor whom i never thought was overrated...i always think tht everyones overrated at some point of their careers...kareena, PC, kat, vidya, salman, srk, aamir, madhuri, AB Snr...everyone ...but sridevi never made it there for me...loved her as a kid and recently when i saw english vingilsh...loved her even more...i think shes just timeless......always thought she deserves the praise shes got.

yankees just said tht she dosent agree with the popular notion that vidya's the best actress in bolly...simple as tht.

I haven't seen English Vinglish.. but I was watching one of her old films with Kamal Hasan.. haven't seen the film from the beg but it seemed like she was playing a mentally challenged person.. her acting there was really bad. And she has this old movie with Salman.. she gave me a headache because she was way over the top.

ok then...well that's a choice...

but even critics will agree that Vidya is much higher in respect of performance with higher of kareena and PC infact masand even wrote in TDP's review that vidya has proved why she's ahead of her contemporaries...never heard something like this abt kareena or pc. anyways to each his own
