Just like Dabangg, the sequel took a phenomenal opening. The film has received a remarkable response in the Delhi-UP circuit. Khan has a big fan following here and his fans always look forward to his films.Dabangg 2 has released in over 300 screens in Delhi-UP. All the shows have had 80-per cent occupancy. We are expecting the first day collections to be close to Rs 3 crore and all-India Rs 21 crore.

Dabangg 2 has done supremely well on its first day. Film has generated 85-90% Occupancies all over India on first day.

Film may collect 25crs Nett on its first day which is 10 crs more than Previous Best Non Holiday opener's Don 2 and Rowdy Rathore.

This is only a estimation, figure can go up and down depending onnight shows.

Guys i am not aware of technical things and this question a bit out of topic but i want to ask u that why movies like ek tha tiger and dabangg 2 are released in 3500 + screens and other movies of same budget of other superstars like srk ,aamir akshay are realsed in ard 2500 screens??? ab yeh mat kehna sallu bhai ka effect ha( i know all sallu fans here)..but seriously i want to the actual reason..

Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Dabangg 2 which raced out of the traps in the morning slowed in the afternoon and evening period as many multiplex shows had lower occupancies than the morning. This was always the likely scenario as its not a holiday but at some places it slowed considerably. This could also be due to exceessive shows. The North was hit hard with evening occupancies down a lot due to the cold weather which is a norm for this time of the year. The morning shows suggested a 25 crore nett total was on the cards but looking at it in the evening and late evening shows the all India collections could come in around the 18-19 crore nett range which is still huge but the film has been let down slightly by the multiplex business.
