If people's education and background is gonna be judged on the basis of which films and stars they like and that too on a ONLINE forum where people have no idea about other's life, then I am sorry to say but that is so ridiculous. BS is getting weird.. I haven't seen such stuff before in all these 5yrs I have been here. Talking about someone's education, class, how they're, judging them just cause they like certain kind of films or stars.. like excuse me but who died and gave you that right? Everyone has different tastes.. Big deal!!!

Agree a middle class family watches a movie in 2-3 months, so dey opt for rohit film dn kahaani.

I am sure in west, on a average ppl their r above indian middle class earning ones, who can watch 2-4 movies in a month itself as they can afford... dn y movies which u terming as quality cinema earns less where ppl can afford 2 watch movies???

Again...you know middle class family in USA also feel they sruggle..,.you take out power for a day they scream their lungs out...I literally saw a person say " how can humans live with out power for 10 hrs ...it is inhuman" !!! that is how they are...what people think about their struggling is based where they are born in...

either way...most people go to theatres to entertain...to have fun !!!! personally for me..any movie that pulls me entertains devoid of the genre...other people may have genre specifics..for most it should be entertaining in the conventional sense..songs for us...blowing buildings and graphics for them...and they watch good cinema in DVD's !!!

having said inception is incredibly intelligent...but it did so well in usa..it would not have in india...

Quality cinema in hollywood gets a lot of money..just that popular cinema caters to more audience...

so people should be asked to choose their favorite movies while giving IQ test. if they select Ready, RR, Dabang, JTHJ, SOS, watned etc, give them low IQ score😆

We the Indians love to eat masala foods like Biryani, love to watch masala movies for entertainment and well scripted / quality movies as well according to our mood. what's the big deal?😕

Dt

true people when they goto see a movie they want an escape and to be entertained and is reason people enjoy the colors surroundings in a movie the songs and dances ..Salman as said he a larger than live hero, and when he makes a movie he realizes the money that the audience spends to see his movies so he makes his movies to entertain them and to get their moneys worth!, Plus ETT as i mentioned in some places abroad esp in a theater near me this was the longest running indian movie in their theater, and people loved the locations and how they were shot and the slickness..

in the past and india people enjoyed ddlj because it too had great scenery and songs and a certain connect... and indians love movies with lavish songs and background like with hdds or taal

And yes in india Hollywood movies are well appreciated !!

Buddy i am not a huge holly fan 2 go watch in plex, but this i know for sure that same Holly movies which are nominated in Oscars or Intelligent cinema or whatever... Some Holly movies are more successful than our own indian movies when released, yes we have audience for that also. Not sure, but i guess Bangalore has the maximum fanbase for holly movies.
